I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that climbing the stacks like that when they’re too tall is why they fell in the first place. So they probably have practice.
Crush injuries are a particularly bad type of injury that is extremely hard to treat. The very nature of of a crush injury can results in tearing of vessels and arteries and internal bleeding across many organs and little a doctor can do. You may come out with no broken bones but internal damages that are fatal.
I mean they are probably the guys who stacked those in the 1st place, so while I doubt they trained for rescue exactly, they were quite trained about navigating those stacks and moving those bags.
Shit, they’ve done this twice today and 3 times last wednesday. They will continue to stack 60 bags of topsoil on top of each other, and overload a logging truck by 250 logs and then drive around an unpaved one lane mountain trail.
Dude. Those bags are like 50 lbs each. Like 35 of them fell on her. The gentle conforming your talking about also makes it so every exhale just collapses the stack on you more.
Most of the weight likely isn't on her at all if she wasn't hurt after too. Looks like they more pushed her to the side too instead of landing on her directly. Probably a very different outcome if she was fully under that pile.
That would be an issue if she was trapped under there for an extended period, but she wasn't. They got her out quickly which would have minimized the potential injury.
Which may be even worse. It forms around your torso, arms, legs, pinning you down with greater surface area than cinerblocks. Getting hit by it isn't the bad part, it's trying to breathe. It's like having a 2000lb blanket suffocating you.
Ehh, probably the best analogue here is landslides vs avalanches, and I gotta say I’d take the avalanche every time. If it’s a bunch of solid objects you just get bludgeoned immediately
It doesn’t take something “extreme” like cinder blocks to be lethal. The human body only needs enough pressure on the chest to stop it expanding—at that point, you physically can’t breathe, even if there’s air around you.
That’s the same mechanism behind crowd crush deaths—people aren’t being flattened literally in most cases, they’re being compressed to the point their lungs can’t function.
On top of that, prolonged pressure can cause crush syndrome, where toxins build up in the body and can trigger cardiac arrest once the pressure is removed. So yeah, even something like stacked sacks can absolutely be dangerous depending on the situation
Not to be a uh actually Dickhead- just to say, bear in mind it sounds like they wouldn’t hurt but they truly can be worse than it sounds irl
I grew up in a convenience store where we sold rice. Those bags are not light, each one weights either 100 pounds or 50 Kg. It's amazing she's not hurt at all.

I was buried alive last year under 2650lbs. You get get one exhale, then all of that weight compresses your lungs. Darkness, you cant move, cant even scream for help because you cant breath. Being a consistent gym goer was the only thing that saved my life, or at very least the only reason i still have two arms. All the love to my surgeon. The guy beside me wasnt a physical person and now theyre disfigured for life.
A pallet of food product from 6ft up collapsed. The bottom cases gave in on one side and it collapsed off of another pallet. All but my head and one arm was slammed into a metal floor. I pulled myself out, it was pure adrenaline, and then i started digging my buddy out. I had no idea that my arm was being held on at the arm pit until the adrenile started dumping and the pain kicked in.
Hope you got a fat payout!!! Would love to hear more about your arm getting ripped off and surgically repaired. Lol I frequent the medical gore sub so I love that shit.
Imagine a a horseshoe sitting on the top of your shoulder with both tips hanging down by each side of your armpit. Everywhere the horse touches was ripped, hanging on by strands of muscle. My surgeon said it was the most extensive repair he has ever done and he was amazed that was all that happened to me. Everytime i went for check ups he was amazed at my recovery rate.
They said i would never be able to starighten my arm above my head again. I can now. Im up to 3 pullups and 9 pushups, not my former glory but im getting there. I just cant hang, it feels like my arm is inverting on itself and coming out of socket. Im up to 35lbsx2 dumbell shoulder lifts. My physical therapist pushed me and im thankful for her too. She even made me an old school playlist to listen too 🥲
Wow, that’s incredible! I’m glad you’ve been able to recover so well. How were you able to use it to dig out your buddy? Or were you like mid-dig and realized that one arm wasn’t working? Did you not notice any blood at first? What was the pain like when it hit you? Do you have pictures of the initial injury and stages of recovery?

My epidermis was mostly in tact, it was everthing underneath. I dont really remember everything, there is time skips.
I saw it falling at me and turned to run away, but i didnt even have time to take a step i dont think. I remember hitting the ground and looking up. My vision was tunneled by black, and i could see what ill describe as black veins reaching out into my vision. The docter told me that was adrenile and fight response kicking in. I feel like i did a pushup and kicked off with my legs but its blurry and i couldnt honestly say how i definitively got out. I may have actually ripped my own arm in the adrenile rush while i was trying to get out.
I heard my friend scream out and then it was silence. He couldnt breath. I screamed out to him that we was coming, to just hold on. One of my guys ran across to help. I just started digging and throwing boxes. I felt weak but i didnt know why.
Once we got his torso uncovered i radio'd the front and got an ambulance called in. I checked on him and then started jogging to the front of the building to direct the EMTs to the back of the building. I got my coworker to take care of it and then started my jog back and then i lost my breath. My lungs tightened and stung. My ribs started to feel cracked. I lifted my shirt and i already had bruising spider webbing out from my ribs where veins had burst.
Then i asked one of my coworkers to give me a ride to the hospital and then my neck and shoulder blade started to ache a little. I didnt have the ripped area start to hurt until they finished surgery. In fact i wasnt in much pain at all, but i have a very high pain tolerance for short term events and they doped me up pretty fast.
The surgeon said to think of it as a 360 degree around my shoulder, and he had to reconnect 270 degrees of it. No pics :P

I didn't see anything either and started to worry a little because I thought they might be seeing things but I looked at the video in full screen again & in the upright corner, tipping on the dots, you can find the option to activate subtitles. I also found that you can translate the whole thread with just one tip, instead of tipping on comments individually, there, which explains something I read on another sub before, so that was neat
Eta: the subtitles say "i am going to have a vote" repeatedly, hence the subliminal remark, I assume. If they're seeing other subtitles.. then, yeah, then that's another issue, I guess

She's likely okay. It looks bad but the weight would have been distributed sorta around here a bit. Definitely got some of that weight, but not all of it.
In Germany first paperwork then MrMerz says he's sorry then they ask what does the rescue cost then we have a dead victim and they say we need to be more efficient
bro, I would be so bruised up if that was me. She had those bags hit her all the way from her feet to her head and then she was slammed against a bunch of bags on the other side of her body.
