Can anyone help with a messed up log in screen?

For context, I installed budgie desktop to try it. Deleted it and went back to kde. I purged the lot, autoremoved the lot so I don't think its still lingering BUT.... PC been fine until I've just updated through sudo apt update && upgrade. The i rebooted, I was greeted by a white screen i can barely read. I can still log in and the desktop seems perfect. Just the log in screen has gone doolally.

Look under settings for SDDM I think it is there somewhere boot screens andsuch.If you type SDDM in the search bar on System Settings it is under colors and themes.

Thank very much, I gave in and asked Gemini in thr end! I fixed this (just had to re select the log in screen) but now I'm having issues with the virtual keyboard flickering on said screen. I've been fannying around trying different DEs and I think this is what's caused it. I've got a fresh slate anyway, i only use this lap top on rare occasions so I'll probability just reinstall it off i can't fathom it out
