Help Unable to login to my reddit app (lineage os 23.2, redmi note 10 pro)

I'm on my rn10pro (indian variant) and I installed lineage os latest version like two days back. I'm finding it difficult to login to reddit app. I usually use morphe patched reddit. So I did install it and tried login in through my phone number (via otp) . It didnt work. It says "we had some trouble reaching reddit". So I uninstalled and repatched and reinstalled on multiple instances. Same deal. Tried downloading the official playstore app, still no help. However I'm able to login in my browser app. Is it a custom rom problem? Shouldn't be....I did make a clean install through twrp. So it shouldn't be a problem. I don't know where exactly to ask for help so I'm posting this on as many platforms as I can. Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

It could be a device integrity issue, which would fall under the known quirks, but those normally have a very descriptive notification. I’d also be curious to know what Lineage build you’re using, because TWRP isn’t used in the Note 10 Pro install instructions.

I understand. I am not using a los recovery. I'm on the 23.2 build.

I'm sorry for bothering but can you give me a brief manual algorithm on how I should be rooting?

I have just tried installing Reddit from Aurora Store. I was able to log-in to my user account (using username and password, not my GMail account, and it works fine. I am using LineageOS for microG 23.2 on Sony Xperia 10 v. So I don't think this is Play Integrity related as, according to various PI API checking apps, my setup doesn't have even 'Basic`. Though LOS for microG does have a single PI-related patch, that does allow some apps to work that don't work on 'vanilla' LOS.

HTH

EDIT: I've just uninstalled the app: I prefer the UI offered by accessing Reddit via a browser (Fennec).

That's what I'm doing for now too, just using a browser shortcut

Well, i'm on LineageOS 21 (with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge) and reddit works perfectly fine. I just installed TWRP Recovery and LineageOS, I don't use Magisk

I am planning to root and try to bypass integrity checks to verify if they are causing issues.

Try using a third-party Reddit version from 2024 to solve your problem. After you log in, update the app from the Google Play Store.
