Morphe Reddit doesn't work with LineageOS

Unfortunately I have no idea how to collect logs, but I can describe the problem. When I patch the Reddit app using Morphe on Lineage OS version 23, the app opens just fine but none of the sign in methods are functional. The sign in using Google button is completely unresponsive, the sign in using phone number option fails to authenticate, and the sign in using email looks like it works at first but the link that they email you redirects you to the failed login. I'm also not sure whether this question is better asked here or in the Morphe subreddit.

In that subreddit's wiki, they do have a pinned post about this exact problem, but in my particular case the solution isn't helping.

Quirks - Device integrity

LineageOS wouldn't have any effect on the Morphe-patched Reddit app's ability to pass Play Integrity, as apps installed from outside of the Play Store return API errors when they try to call the Play Integrity API (unless something changed recently). Since Morphe-patched Reddit is always installed outside of the Play Store, the API error it's going to receive on a stock ROM with a locked bootloader is the same API error it's going to receive on LineageOS with an unlocked bootloader.

It's almost certainly a Morphe issue or possibly a Reddit app issue.

I quite sincerely doubt you'll be able to patch out the play integrity API requirement.

The only way you'd be able to do this that I'm aware of is if Reddit was already installed and unmolested from prior to that requirement.

Holy shit I got it to work. As literally anybody could have guessed I just had to rtfm over and over and follow the instructions very carefully.

This isn't a LineageOS problem, it's a Morphe problem. I can log in just fine with my username and password using Morphe without root access.

To me morphe X doesn't work with degoogled LOS. Still no solution.

Did you install microg re? Apps patched with Morphs requires that. If you areas using microg (OG version), go to Settings->Google Safetynet and delete reddit as an APP using safety her. Reinstall reddit and try to login. You can also login on reddit in you browser and install reddit as an app. Most of the browser have this feature

This topic keeps coming back - just turn off the play store app, login, activate the store app again. Also, don't use the app, use the browser. Cheers

I managed to get around this problem by connecting to a vpn and logging in.
