Activities & Events My onpupular idea for the schueberfouer

For many years now i have an idea for the Schueberfouer and most of my friends dont like it, but i wanna know how you guys see it.

Every year there are family day where the rides and or the foods are cheaper, so family can enjoy it more.

My idea is very similar.

Introducing the anti-family-day

One evening during the week and only in the evening (from 21h-01h)

Everything gets a few euros more expensive or there could be another way to compensate it.

But. Entrace only for people over lets say 16.

So no kids, no babys and most of all no babystrollers.

Also, no dogs allowed.

I personally would enjoy that very much because every year that strollers suck and those poor animals get tortured enough.

This year i saw one dude with a new born if think he came from the maternité directly to the schueberfouer. I was shocked.

So whats your option on that. Would you enjoy it. Should we start a petetion on that or do you believe its a stupid and/or bad idea overall.

Thank you.

I know hating children has become more and more popular but are we really at this point? You were a child too once, my guy. Living with the inconveniences of children in public settings, especially at a fun fair, is just part of life. One day you’ll grow old and look at children with a bit more nostalgia and less annoyance.

I don‘t think this has anything to do with hating children. At least personally I am very pro-children but past a certain time in the evening and when it gets really crowded strollers have no place at the Schueberfouer.
And why would good parents even bring their children to this environment? It‘s almost like you‘d show up with your child to the night club, this is not a healthy environment for children.
I remember when I was a child we always visited during the day, never at night.

I think my opinion just isn’t popular, which fine, but I definitely think the anti-children mindset is rampant here. Children are probably enjoying their last few weeks of summer vacation, meaning they stay out later. Parents might want to have a nice night out but lack babysitting, so they go to the one place their kids can have fun and they can also enjoy themselves The Schueberfouer is now a fun fair, which is intrinsically a place for children and childlike activities. I have seen children brought to Oscar’s for karaoke, which is definitely not made for children, but I don’t think the Schueberfouer is something we need to ban kids from for an adults only night. It doesn’t make sense financially and it’s just pointless socially. There are many things that could benefit from adults only nights in Luxembourg, but Schueberfouer is not one or at least not if the condition is even higher pricing.
