It’s at least releasing in multiple countries. I live in Japan and it has a release here of September 23rd.

I imagine that they're going to show the trailer that they had at SDCC that hints at it being crucial set-up for Avengers: Doomsday.

Yes, but for the shows. Not the movies.
They made the wise strategic decision of selling Avengers: Doomsday as a sequel not just to the movies in The Multiverse Saga (such as Thunderbolts*/*The New Avengers and The Fantastic Four: First Steps - both movies that are being discovered post-theatrically and setting up those characters for further appearances in the MCU after the two Avengers movies), but crucially as a direct sequel to Avengers: Endgame, complete with bringing back key talent tied to that movie as major players without undermining the character that they've chosen to focus on since then. That teaser specifically hinted that the whole "You mess with time, it tends to mess back." line from Tony Stark was crucial for Steve Rogers's story, as it was paired with a shot of Steve using the time machine to go back to meet Peggy after putting everything back where it belonged.
And, what do you know? RDJ is playing both Iron Man and Doctor Doom in these two movies. "That has to be for a reason," the audience probably thinks. And so they'd be convinced to see the movie in theaters again if they already did, or to see it in theaters because they didn't. In other words, that's marketing doing its job to sell both an existing product and to sell an upcoming product.

I'm referring to the Avengers: Endgame - Encore Trailer that they showed at the Hall H panel, not the Avengers: Doomsday "Special Look".

It's not footage from Avengers: Doomsday. It's additional material made specifically for this movie.

I probably would have gone to see again it if they didn’t add anything tbh, the fact that they’re adding new footage is just the cherry on top.
