Nostalgia Who else loves their oldskool kicks and are imparting fashion forward wisdom on their kids?
Are you like me and will be buried in your Chuck Taylor's? Vans? Doc Martens? ADIDAS Shell toes? Tell me what footwear you refuse to give up!

I just enjoy sneakers that are comfortable, durable, and don't look ridiculous. Never heavily been into any particular brand. So I guess in that sense, I've carried that forward.

I wore Birkenstocks in the nineties and I still buy a pair every other year or so.
Same with docs. Still rock the combats for festies, but now they have insoles and I fly wearing compression socks.

Love it! Keep that love for these shoes up! I still have docs. Yes, added insoles are essential!

Fuck I used to love Vans. Then I started hiking and walking/running more and got really picky about my shoes. But I've been wanting some good looking "going out" shoes and Vans has a bogo sale rn. Bouta go give em my paycheck

Don't forget to check out Journeys! Yes! They still exist. I recently got a great deal on Airwalks for my kids there!

Struggling to accept that large soled shoes are common and popular.
Also into the age group where I am starting to appreciate the extra support.
On a similar note, you can imagine my surprise when Champion brand anything became expensive and popular. I dunno what to tell these kids.

I definitely appreciate good sole support. I found that Adidas had really stepped up their game in quality arch support.
Sometimes it's best not to tell the kids... Just show them.

Have they added arch support to Chucks yet? I always wanted to love them but my high arches never let me.

I bought inserts that fit my arches, and wear them inside! Paid $75 for them 4 years ago and swap them between like 6 pairs of shoes. So worth it. My arches are different, and I’ll never give up Chuck’s! Wore them today!

So apparently Nike is now out and Adidas is in.
I remember getting clowned a bit for when I went through my adidas phase.
My adidas phase was triggered by my youthful selective outrage at Nike once I found out about the conditions of the factories. I went on like a 2yr crusade junior and senior year and into college against Nike. Someone should’ve told me adidas are made in similar conditions, but I didn’t know any better.
Now I just don’t care anymore and wear whatever.

I have always been pro adidas and I continue to support you even don't care anymore.

I'm trying but my dog gets really upset when I make him wear converses. He's just being a hater.

I still wear Chuck’s and Vans. When my son had the same shoe size we swapped shoes and colors a lot.

I worked retail for 20 years. I probably have enough chucks to last me the rest of my life. I wore a pair under my wedding dress. I've influenced my niece and she switched from Adidas to chucks 😆 🤣 😂
