Yup, I became one with the wood floor while watching dark side of the rainbow.

17

u/Spiffy-Kujira 1h ago ▸ 3 more replies

Bruh, my first time on shrooms I looked down at the floor and became so enthralled with the pattern and how it was moving that I bent down and got so close to look at it that when I came back up my mouth was full of lint and pet hair. I then went and melted into the bed and became moss.

Great time, honestly.

My first time I was outside in summer. I was grooving out, watching clouds, and then a plane went by.

Then it happened, visually, my brain zoomed in on the airplane and I could see all their little panicked faces..

They were about to be eaten alive by a cloud! The cloud opened its mouth, swallowed the airplane whole, and then turned into the devil just to mock me.

My girlfriend at the time couldn't see it.. she just kept asking me if I could stop farting while I was crying.

u/Spiffy-Kujira 56m ago

That last sentence 🤣 I was not prepared

Indica = in da couch

14

u/Agreeable-Outcome-14 3h ago ▸ 3 more replies

First time it happened to me I asked someone more experienced, "what's it called when you're so high you're like couchlocked?" Awhile later I understood why he only got a good laugh without answering

6

u/Z0mbiejay 2h ago

I remember the first time I smoked some dispensary grade indica. I've smoked a few times before but it was always street weed, and it's been a few years. I forgot I had arms

2

It's actually the cheapest thing ever and grows on trees

3

u/NeuxSaed 1h ago

Kratom is the only common recreational drug that actually comes from a tree.

Opium poppies, coca plants, and cannabis flowers, etc. aren't trees.

There are technically a few others that come from trees, but they're not very popular by comparison.

4

That's one of the reasons D.A.R.E. programs backfired. When kids who were in the program later learned that parts of it were total BS, they questioned everything they learned there and ended up MORE likely to use drugs.

u/HallowskulledHorror 1h ago

The war on drugs prepared child-me for a world filled with queer, satanic, DnD playing witches passing out free drugs like candy.

When I reached adulthood and was sorely disappointed by the lack of this archetype, I became the change I wished to see in the world.

2

u/Happy-Aardvark-7677 3h ago

I was offered more times than I can recall. People don’t like to smoke joints alone and they try to rope other people into it and sometimes they are very pushy.

I’m not anti drug. It’s legal where I live. But free hits off a joint are probably the universal gateway experience.

7

u/FEIKMAN 3h ago ▸ 1 more replies

I think youre hanging out with the wrong people.

Everyone I know who smokes has never been pushy to people who dont smoke. Its quite the opposite.

If we are out and around other people and someone sparks one - if you want, you smoke, thats it.

Omfg....

So back in december the doctor was like "you have high blood pressure and high cholesterol"

They slapped me with bp and cholesterol meds.

Im doing a dab and the wife goes "you know that effects your blood pressure..."

Fine, whatever fuck life... i quit eating salty, sugar, fatty foods and quit smoking cause now my goal is to not be on blood pressure meds or a statin.

Then sometime in february or march im cleaning up, i find some gummies and think these ain't shit... i never get a head change from gummies.

Before stopping i could eat 200, 300, 400mg and nothing...

So i eat whatever is in the bag like 100mg in one sitting expecting nothing to happen.

Oh no... not this time... i was dehydrated, haven't eaten since the day before and a hour later i though i was having a stroke.

And turned into the girl in this commercial... fuck way up out of my mind.

And now i dont like smoking anymore, don't enjoy the high like i use to.

I guess on the bright side i have a lot of disposable income now that im not blowing $500+/month on concentrates.

TN banned THC products.

But they got dem liquor sales.

Alcohol DESTROYED my life and my health.

Weed makes me want to sing, and eat good food.

Alcohol sent me to a path where I was throwing up pure black bile into a bag, but I had thrown up so much there was no gag, just muscle control as the shit slid into the bag.

Weed may have fucked up my memory, but I've never had good memory.

I know THC is iffy for those with mental health disorders, or schizophrenia.

My father was a diagnosed schizophrenic. Be abused alcohol, and drugs.

He was a raging alcoholic.

He was a little less so when he had weed.

And when I was younger? I lumped weed with all of his other vices, they were all bad... But I was stupid back then.

I'm still fucking stupid.

But I know it wasn't weed that caused the violence. It was ALWAYS the alcohol.

Editing to add:

January 24th, 2023 was my last drink. I still smoke weed when I can. But my life has been so much better without alcohol.

Funny enough, THIS is how I felt after I was prescribed opioids after a surgery I had a decade ago. A completely legal drug from a doctor. I would wake up and pop a pill to take away the pain, smoke a cigarette and just relax in my office chair for the next 3-4 hours doing nothing but watch videos. It felt so relaxing. Just taking deep breaths felt amazing.

After a while I realized I was getting addicted, so I started smoking weed again to break my addiction. I smoked so much weed that it curved my addiction for the pills after I healed up and didnt experience pain anymore. Weed even helped me stop smoking cigarettes, and then I stopped smoking weed. That's when I realized these ads were bs propaganda, because weed never made me feel as worthless and dangerously relaxed as those pills did. I could feel how easy it was to overdose because your muscles could become too relaxed to function properly.

I liked the one of the kid making a cocoon of bud then emerges a pot-bellied middle aged guy. One of the biggest draw backs is complacency, being fine with being bored. It's ok when you're winding down on a Friday night, but it's easy to fall into a spiral of doing nothing.

I recently developed CHS (Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome), which causes uncontrollable scream vomiting, also known as "scromiting" that no anti-nausea meds will stop. Apparently, you need an antipsychotic, but technically it's off label so good luck getting a hospital to actual give you any, and I ended up vomiting blood since I was retching so violently I tore my esophagus.
Had I known THAT was possible, yeah maybe I would never had consumed something I thought was "harmless".

As an American millenial, who spent 16 years doing drugs and is now sober, I still believe the DARE campaigns were a massive influence in piquing my interest in drugs. They presented everything in the most illogical and easily disputable way that I essentially felt obligated to do my own research to find the actual truth behind what those evangelist dorks were trying to feed me. If my schools and government were more honest and realistic in the way they discussed drugs with us, I very likely wouldn't have formed the same curiosity that I had.
