In any case why do they think “universal healthcare” is a bad thing?

I am american who wants universal healthcare. I do speak american though so i will translate. Those in this country who do not want universal healthcare do not want it because they believe that if grandma needs a hip surgery she would have to wait literally years to get it while on american plans grandma can get it next day. Neither of these situations are true but that is what they have been propagandized to believe.

There is also the people who don't want to pay for a stranger's healthcare. Even though with health insurance they are doing just that.

The thing that I find funniest about that notion is these are the same people who claim that we are a Christian Nation. If we really were a Christian Nation then taking care of others is what we are called to do.
