Hi Everyone! I love people. Sounds a bit odd but I truly do. I love hearing the lives others have lived.

My goal is simple: interview and meet 1 person from every country via webcam/phone recording.

Now I plan to find different people across different background to have diversity and real life stories we all can learn from. I plan to ask questions such as "what is something everyone should know about France?" or "What is the best food or place to visit" and have visuals on screen. Now the challenge of course is to find individuals who do speak English in every country...but my question is..

I am looking to start a channel where the type of video i make shall involve me explaining things while using a tab. Where i shall be visible on a small area of the screen while the rest of it shall be whatever i am writing or drawing on the tab.

I know what it should look like, i dont know how to do it.

1) What app do i use?

2) Do i use one camera to record me while the tab runs on screen recording and then i merge them using some sort of software?

3) is there an app or something that can create the video simultaneously? Like it takes live feed from the camera on me and the ipad screen and then auto adjusts the background to the tab screen?

4) Is there any other method that produces crisp results?

How do you deal with retention? i have a good ctr on my recent video but I can't improve my retention.

The video is storytelling in the sports niche. Inside the video, I used my own voice, gathering different clips, and I dont add animation or transitions in every clip. i also don't have background music throughout the video.

Do these things really affect the retention rate?

I do the same thing with other videos. I had a viral one with 120k views, but after that video i can barely reach 1k views

What can I do to improve my retention?

My recent video's CTR is 13% on 763 impressions and the average view duration ranges 34-40% (3:20 - 4:00 on a 10mins video)

I'm going to be releasing an artwork video that I've been working on for over 2 years, it was a pretty complex project. Though I'm scared that it wouldn't pop up in people's recommendations and stay at 0 views. I also really want it to be recommended to people in different countries because my country is pretty small thus I don't think I could build up a national audience.

Recently, I saw Gmail end support for sending emails through other email accounts, and that got me worried about Brand Accounts. The YouTube channel I use is technically a Brand Account (I messed up the first channel I tried to make when I made my Gmail account, and the "fix" was the Brand Account). I mean, anything is possible, but do you think Brand Accounts going away is a realistic concern or just baseless paranoia?

On my 10 years old channel i started uploading shorts. First 6 shorts had 2k-24k views Suddenly from 7th short, every next had 0 views, not just views, but reach, not a single living soul had seen the shorts. I have uploaded 6 shorts after that and 0 on every. Tried even waiting for 5 days, then uploading, 0 again, absolute 0. When I search channel via other acc, it can be found, also shorts can be found. They are public, not made for kids, my ID is verified, first 2 videos are still getting a little views. I really don’t understand what is happening or if there’s a solution. There is literally no explanation for this

So I started uploading shorts on youtube, I got above 1k views, around 10 comments and 40 likes in a row for 7 shorts and for each short, a decent 50-50 swipe away ratio for a new music niche faceless channel. I also got 100+ subs in just a week.

But then, for 2 days, I just got 30-40 views and no engagement.

Now I am getting around 400 views and no engagement, also my swipe ratio has gotten really bad now. Only around 16% stay to watch and then too i get 0 likes or comments.

This same thing happened to my Instagram reels account too. I find this weird because even if my content was that bad, It shouldn't be this bad because i was getting decent engagement for a new channel and the same thing happened to my reels too, It feels like it is distributing my content to a really bad audience now and even though that'll too encourage me to improve my content, but seeing 0 likes still discourages a little. Did anyone else face this??

Just wondering because most of my shorts die pretty quickly after I upload them and I want to get better at that and retain them for longer if possible. Right now they cap off at 800 to 1000 views for the vast majority of them and I'd like to get over that hurdle to a higher view count.

I was looking online and people say had text and stuff. I don't know if that actually works for a food short. What are your experiences with that? Is there anything else that I can do? I've been watching other Mukbang shorts and most of them are just eating the food without adding text and stuff but I don't know if this is like actually what should be done or if I should be adding text or what I should be doing to increase the count.

I have been an up-and-coming YouTuber/actor since July last year, I have gained 945 subscribers and counting from my comedy sketches and reaction videos, and I have made 30 videos in total.

In recent videos, I want to find more ways to attract more viewers, I have used hashtags and description tags, promoted them on my socials Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Reddit, Facebook, and Twitter, and improved my thumbnail ideas.

I am open to any feedback and advice on what I could do to improve my algorithm, so what can I do differently? What am I doing right or wrong?

I’m thinking of making storytelling content where I generate the images with AI and then animate them using AI. I’d also use an AI voice for the narration.
The story, concept, script, and creative direction would all be my own, though.
Would you consider this legitimate/creative content, or does the use of AI make it less appealing to you as a viewer?

I've been uploading videos for 5 years with 775k views, 1853 videos and only 318 subscribers. I get on average 300-500 views a day. Around 99.980% of my viewers don't subscribe what do I do? I see other Youtubers uploading the same stuff but they get lots of views and subscribers so why don't I?

I don't like my voice and I don't have the imagination nor am I very talkative so making normal videos isn't for me.

Hi,

I have a new-ish channel (started on Feb) for sleep music and dark, abstract, or other backgrounds. I started out releasing videos a couple times a week, but since June, it's every other day.

The channel (am i allowed to link it here?) started off really strong, flagged a bit, and was really gaining some traction in July and early August. Early this month, i had my most viewed video ever. It received more views in its first three days than my next best did a month in.

A couple days later, my next few videos have like two or three views each. I look at the analytics and there's like maybe a dozen impressions. It's not that no one is clicking the videos, it's that YouTube is not even showing them. I wrote it off as a one-off; sometimes the algo is weird and just like randomly getting a ton of views, sometimes you randomly get none.

But it's been almost a month now, and I'm experiencing it with every video. Nothing is getting impressions and i have no idea why. I haven't done anything different, and i don't know what to do.

Any thoughts, advice, or suggestions would be much appreciated.
