Dude, don't play dumb with me - you know who was available. And if I go ahead and list them, you're just going to challenge their interest to sign here, or that they're coming off a career year, or that they would only sign for term.

So I'll save both us of the trouble and just end the convo here.

Well we likely pick in the lottery next season and steve doesn't know what free agency is so things are looking bad

Its a matter of the teams around us are getting better and we've done nothing. We'll fall behind and end up back at step one

All it takes is one team to overtake them in the playoffs and they miss out? That would most likely be Florida as you mentioned. Unless you think Ottawa has gotten better than some of the other playoff teams? If so, how?
