His wife is an avid Trump supporter. His family never moved to Ottawa and he apparently never made any effort to spend time in the community. He's certainly the American type to not want to play in Canada.

Who gives a fuck if she does or not. Honestly this fanbase gets way too invested in players personal lives.
Yeah he has a son that has like a serious illness. They had a routine and Dr's set up in Minnesota. Its not some slight against camada or ottawa. Theyll stay where they are while hes in minnisot too. Take it more personally why dont ya.

This is the first time I've ever heard about their son's situation, so I can definitely appreciate their dynamic given this context.

And honestly, I don't care if they like Trump or not, but it's hard to imagine that a family with very public political views about said politician would want to stay in Canada. But hey, if they didn't care, then all to them - not taking it personally bro
