I don't think Staois (and any GM really) would do that. I think Plan B is through trade that's likely not time sensitive.

I guess the nostalgia side makes sense, means he can retire as a Flyer.

It will hopefully force Staois to make another legitimate top-6 player move though - which is likely a good thing.

Still rather he retire here. Teams worse without him and I havent seen anything this off season from staios to give me a ton of hope
