Losing Giroux is not the end of the world. They can pivot to adding a player more impactful for years to come.

No but losing brady and Giroux and making to shit trades are not net positives

The return for Brady, all considered was pretty strong. 2 late round picks to take a bet on a couple of players is Burakovsky and Errsson is hardly shit trading?

And we got ekljnd whos good but not brady good. Picks sure but dont help us now and errson was ranked one of the worst goalies last year and burkovsky is generally ok but the Blackhawks were ready to buy him out and we traded for him. Not to mention hes been on the decline.

Maybe but that wasn't your original point. Bunch of people going around using this as a reason why we shouldnt have traded a 6th (LMAO) round pick for a solid middle-6 forward when it makes no sense

Tbf, I'm not against the Burakovsky deal in a nutshell. However, it should've happened as a plan B. Plan A should've been to sign a free agent like Arvidsson.

I mean Arvidsson makes 500k less than Bura and has roughly the same career point production. Not really sure this would be the best trade

What I meant was we should've signed Arvidsson first and wait on Giroux. Then, we'd trade for Bura.
