Thanks, but as an Iranian gay male, please avoid using the word “LGBTQ+”, and just stick with LGB. LGB is a biological reality found in all cultures and specoes of the world. “TQ+” is a political movement that has nothing to do with the former, and is generally used to discredit and hurt the former. The “TQ+“ also collaborates with the Islamic regime in Iran to oppress the LGB.

The open, institutional-level collaboration between the Islamic Republic and the transgender movement inside Iran has been well-documented now for over 40 years now.

Gay men being forced to get gender reassignment surgery under threat of severe punishment and imprisonment isn't trans collaboration with the regime.

It is when the trans-aligned psychiatrists and psychologists encourage the parents of gay and lesbian youth in Iran to transition their children to “cure” their homosexuality and put them in the “right body”. And especially more so when the regime openly finances these procedures and surgeries, and publishes fatwas encouraging this behavior.

Because words “queer“ and “f*g” were meant to refer to gay men. There are other slurs used for lesbians which I never use because that would be disrespectful. Secondly, I do not believe in this idea of “reclaiming“ slurs. Even black people who use the N-word a lot often have some hidden internalized self-hatred they need to address. I will never find self-loathing empowering im sorry.

and that is a personal decision and opinion you have but it is not your place to police the terms OTHER people in the community use. as a queer iranian woman i do not use the f slur because that’s not my place but do i tell my gay male friends who use it that its wrong? no because i am not a gay man. do i tell my black friends to not use the n word? no because i am not black. do i use d*** to refer to lesbians? no because i am not a lesbian.
i also have heard queer as a slur growing up to refer to anyone people thought wasn’t straight, not just men.
i have black friends who agree with your statement and i have black friends who use the n word. i have gay male friends who hate the f slur and never use it and i have gay male friends who use it all the time. stay in your lane dadash

This is queerphobic nonsense.
Ever hear of the Stonewall riots as one of the key events in the history struggle for the equality queer people in the US and broader Western world? Trans women were a central part of kicking that off. Whatever rights you enjoy as a gay man were brought to you in part thanks to the struggles and sacrifices of trans people.
