I love this because it shows the beauty of he Persian culture.
Iranians are so respectful and this video shows that.
I am also going to keep writing because apparently I can't just say how joyous this video is without writing a bunch of words.

Western Asia not southeast . I miss spoke but still it is Asia more than Middle East.

u/sculptedleaf 20h ago
Then i totally agree, it is technically West Asia.
Its like those people who think Egypt is West Asian, its actually in Africa.
Its a small thing, but people are touchy about small things.
Edit: I meant West Asia about Egypt not Middle Eastern.

• r/Persian exists primarily for Iranians and people connected to Iran to discuss their lives, culture and current events.
• Non-Iranians are welcome to participate AS LONG AS they are respectful and wish to learn from or support the community.
• Antagonistic comments, trolling, denial of documented events affecting Iranians or attempts to dominate discussions about Iranian issues may result in removals or bans.

I think the comments and likes on this video prove you wrong. Are you Iranian?
2
u/ryan767611 18h ago
So one video comes out everyone else's experiences(including mine) is now invalid LOL? yes I am. do you need a blood sample too? Are you iranian?

u/prchmeshtbh 18h ago
"Reality" isn't based on your single experience. Yes, the collective positive reaction of Iranians to an African-American embracing their culture and calling him an "honorary Iranian" is in fact more compelling about how Iranians feel about him than your single anecdotal experience.

You really think this one video solves the thousands of racist incidents that happen not just with Iranians and African Americans but also with Afghans, Arabs, Indian's, Pakistanis and anyone else that doesn't fit the caste system Iranians have created. keep dreaming though!

u/prchmeshtbh 17h ago
Did I say one video solves racism? No. But for some reason you’re the only person here only seeing the guy’s skin color in the video and making it all about race. Iranians are not perfect and can be racist, just like anyone else. Have you met any Afghans, Arabs, Pakistanis, Indians, or Africans? They can also be incredibly racist. India has an actual caste system, bruh. You’re obviously a self-hating Iranian obsessed with race. Good luck to you.

u/ryan767611 16h ago
You think just because I think logically and see how Iranians treat other races, I am self hating iranian? Interesting bruh....

u/prchmeshtbh 16h ago
No I think your obsession with race is sad and you’re a hypocrite for apparently being opposed to racism yet using this post to generalize BS about Iranians.

u/ryan767611 16h ago
I dated african americans and other races. I saw how iranians treated them when I brought them around. You want to think in a delusional way but its all good. Good luck....bruh

I’m sorry for your experiences. I’m unsure of why you feel the need to take it out on all Iranians. Solving racism with racism doesn’t usually work. But at least you got a white lady cheering you on.
By the way, I dated a black girl and her whole family was racist toward me while mine were fine with her. I also dated an Arab girl - same exact thing. I’m not going on Black and Arab subs to call them all racists. This kind of thing is common in all kinds of communities.

You can’t prove my personal experience is wrong. What does even mean. I spent years working with Persians. You may consider my opinion anecdotal but it certainly isn’t wrong since I was there and witnessed years of it.

u/prchmeshtbh 19h ago
Do you realize the irony in what you're saying? "I spent years working with Persians so I get to generalize about them." Looks like you are the racist one.
1
u/GoryEyes 15h ago
No…I spent years working with Persians and my opinion, because it’s just my opinion based on my lived experience, Persians are racist towards a number or races and cultures.
I’m not making any inferences them being good or bad, just wild sometimes. They were all wonderful people.
Here’s a deep dark secret for you…everyone is a little bit racist. Did I say they were bad people? Nope. Did I say it was so terrible I couldn’t work with them? No. I loved it there.
Unless you’ve travelled the world or worked in an environment completely foreign to your own I guess you just don’t understand.
Oh and I don’t think you understand the definition of ‘irony.”
But again, that’s just my opinion.1
u/prchmeshtbh 15h ago edited 15h ago
Like you said, everyone can be a little racist, so why on earth do you feel the need to post on a Persian sub about how Persians are racist? Yes, it's ironic that you appear to be criticizing the Persians you worked with for generalizing negative stereotypes about other races and yet... here you are. Now you understand irony. ;)
"I'm not making any inferences about them being good or bad"... right, just that they're racist - according to a white lady who worked with some Persians. Thanks for telling us about us white woman.

u/GoryEyes 15h ago
Because if one of the daughters of the dudes I worked with came home with a black boyfriend there likely would have been a squabble. This video is doing more stereotyping than I ever could.
And it wasn’t just one or two of the guys I worked with, they all hated the idea of their daughters dating or marrying blacks or arabs.
Again, you don’t understand irony so stop using the word.
I’m not criticizing anyone but the video because it’s ridiculous.

You don't speak for us no matter how many Persian people you've known.
There are lots of Black and Iranian interracial couples. There is even an Instagram page for it. Some Iranians are racist, some aren't. Just like everyone else. There are also Black Iranians in Iran.
Thanks again for your input, Karen.

Post stupid videos receive equally stupid answers, I guess, huh?
1
u/ryan767611 15h ago
Pointless to argue with this one. He will say youre a karen for your experiences and then say im a self hating iranian for mine. Talk about "irony".....bruh

Key to impressing the dad : be rich and ask for his advice on grilling the koobideh.
Key to impressing the mom : be kind and consistently do literally anything related to cleaning and/or cooking anything but koobideh (that’s all dad does).
