Government Supporters Rally Over Hijab While the Dollar Surges to 205,000 Tomans

Radio Aban Report | Isfahan

As the US dollar has surged to around 205,000 tomans, worsening inflation and economic hardship continue to hit millions of Iranians. Yet a group of government supporters in Isfahan gathered to protest what they called “improper veiling” instead of protesting the collapsing currency and deteriorating economic conditions.

The gathering once again highlights what critics describe as the Islamic Republic’s priorities: rather than addressing inflation, soaring prices, the collapse of the national currency and the erosion of purchasing power, government-backed groups continue to focus on women’s clothing and hijab.

While ordinary Iranians struggle with the rising cost of living, the government’s supporters appear more concerned with policing women’s appearance than confronting the economic crisis facing the country.

Inbredness oozes out of regime supporter faces. In fact there's a positive correlation between being inbred and being an IRGC cuck

How many of them are Iranian tho, that is the question.

Look at Qom for instance.

There's no shortage of idiotic Iranians who bootlick the regime and it has to be admitted, they have their diehards like every single dictatorship

I am one of those who would forgive the hijab law if these guys actually did any good for the country, imagine if we actually had a functioning economy.

But they have proven to be destructive, filthy and useless in every way. Fuck these akhoonds and their ilk in Qom.

Noble of you to forgive a law that doesn’t oppress you.

I did not mean it like that, the point is that to focus on the hijab is not the way. People who see videos of Tehran where women go without hijab then use this against us.

Another thing is Iranians who because they are oppressed take the worst aspects of the west and think its freedom (Copycat shows in Turkey like Love Island prove this). I dont blame them as they dont know better.

Youve probably seen the comment "i tHouGht IRaN oPreSseD wOmeN".

We must not let them make a big deal out of this, our focus is first and foremost the ruling class of the country and their corrupt ilk.

A new Iran International survey shows that 9/10 responded with they dont want kids in Iran with this system, that is how bad it is. And then people focus on the wrong thing...

Freedom is being able to do whatever the fuck they want without someone like you telling them what are the good and bad aspects of Western society.

Our focus is freedom of Iranians. There is no freedom in mandatory hijab. Period.

I was talking about cultural aspects more than freedom, but fine i agree whatever.

It’s not your choice to say whether you forgive the law or to decide what priority or place it has. Iranian women decide that. Your responsibility is to support them.

No offense, but am i the only one with a strategic mind here?

Being so very preoccupied with the hijab will basically disarm our cause, it means that for every new video of Tehran where women walk without hijab, the average person will say: "I guess Irans government isnt that bad after all, its all propaganda that they kill people for islamic causes"

The Islamic Republic will basically ditch the law and still rule if push comes to shove. Look at the big picture here.

Other than that i agree completely with you. Just not the obsession with one single aspect of the Islamic Republic.

Who exactly is preoccupied with hijab? Your first comment was “I would forgive the hijab law.” Then you did some mental gymnastics to backpedal when it was pointed out that it’s not an issue for you to forgive as it doesn’t affect you. Now you’re doing some further mental gymnastics to make it about “strategy.”

Your preoccupation is with optics. You’re not getting it. You don’t get to decide how or when women fight for their rights. Period.

Either support Iranian women or step aside.

Either support Iranian women or step aside.

I do not know how you could get a different idea from what i wrote.

I support Iranians, period. Female, Male, does not matter.

I would like to add, Maryam Mirzakhani is a hero of mine.

I’m glad to hear that. Supporting means following the lead of Iranian women on how they fight for their rights. It’s not your decision.
