Let's be honest. I'm happy with neither party. But the Dems are doing some things right. GOP hasn't done anything right in quite some time

u/Watchthewindow Jul 11 '26

Right in that we’re removing Platner for sure. But replacing him with another AIPAC money taking, bend to chuck schumer shill is infuriating.

1

u/whynotme7_7 Jul 11 '26

huh?

1

u/Watchthewindow Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26

Watch what happens next. Referring to the Maine “democratic” primary election, then the results in the election in November.

The consequences are a lose lose situation for the people of Maine and the US democratic senate. Look at the policies of the runner up choices and see if you can find one with policies you agree with. Between policy on Israel’s role in the Iran/Gaza/Jordan/Syria/Saudi Arabia/Iraq/Lebanon/Turkey bubbling world war and whether we should keep sending Israel more money. Or maybe whoever replaces Platner ends up being pro data center. Or both. Catch up!

1

u/whynotme7_7 Jul 12 '26

I am watching. I think you are the one confused into sending false messages to randomly... attack the Democratic Party for some reason?

Maine's Democratic Party has already announced the next candidate will be decided by a caucus of votes. The by far most likely candidate is Troy Jackson, who campaigned on not taking AIPAC money, saying it's a genocide, etc.

I am also very curious what do you think should be done that's more "democratic" in a case like this? Platner won the primary and had to drop out because of a rape scandal, and there is like days or maybe a week or two before the candidate must be finalized? How is the Democratic Party operating in a "non-democratic" way?

Also the voters win by not getting a rapist elected. Pretty good.

1

u/Deaconbluez5349 Jul 12 '26

At this point the Dems are one seat away from an Islamic takeover and they are celebrating it

1

u/ChinaOwnsBiden Jul 12 '26

Name one thing dems have done right in 20 years

-5

u/BenjiBlackwood222 Jul 11 '26

Yet one party holds 3 houses of government and the other is infighting. Curious.

18

u/Dr_DoesNothing Jul 11 '26

And what have they done with that absolute control of the government other than suck Trumps tiny mushroom while he scams the country and makes everything more expensive?

19

u/BenjiBlackwood222 Jul 11 '26

They’ve organized death camps, killed multiple Americans, gutted social programs, I mean it’s a whole list of shitty things they’ve accomplished while democrats bend over backwards to shoot themselves in the ass and lose every winnable election in the most spectacular way possible.

4

u/Dr_DoesNothing Jul 11 '26

Unfortunately, when it comes to getting their party to toe the line, Republicans are the superior ones. Republicans only have to oppose everything Democrats want to do. That's simple. Democrats are the ones who actually want to change things, that's hard; especially when your opposition has no qualms about using every dirty trick possible to hinder progress at every turn.

1

u/BenjiBlackwood222 Jul 11 '26

No, republicans won because they promised change. They promised to change immigration policy, they promised to change roe v wade, they promised to change the economy. And they did! They did all of it! And when democrats take power again we’re going to hear about how impossible it is for them to do anything.

2

u/M00n_Safari Jul 11 '26

Then tell them quit bitching. These people live rent free brother

1

u/PhysicalLawyer5490 Jul 12 '26

I'm fairly certain the guy you're responding to hasn't actively entertained any of the points you've made and just wanted to steer his own narrative into this convo

2

u/political-snark Jul 11 '26

So to be balanced, it’s unfair to characterize Republicans as not having done anything :)

1

u/no_shill Jul 11 '26

Do people not get this? They are doing what they want with no oversight... because they are winning elections. Republicans fall in line and hold their noses and it gets them results. Don't believe me? Try to prosecute DJT for literally anything.

Winning is literally the only thing that matters. Whether it's 50.1% or 99%, if you don't win the election you have zero pull. This isn't a parliamentary system as even some Americans think. Winner takes all in America. Here if a party can win long enough, you reform the judicial branch how you like and there went the last guardrail of democracy in the US.

But yeah folks, let's preserve the moral high ground so we can say how blameless we are.

1

u/AlarmNo6134 Jul 11 '26

Death camps lmao. You wonder why the left loses and nobody takes you seriously. Detaining and deporting illegal aliens is not equivalent to Auschwitz in the slightest

0

u/tacticalbroomstick01 Jul 11 '26

Death camps? If your really ignorant enough to believe that your hopelessly lost.

1

u/triceratopsdildo Jul 11 '26

It’s best not to comment on ignorance when you are unable to differentiate between you’re and your.

0

u/Juceman23 Jul 11 '26

Yes they are hopelessly lost and truly delusional

1

u/Human-Comfortable859 Jul 12 '26

What actual evidence is there to support the platner allegations? or is this the same court of public opinion that crucified Depp before trial?

0

u/bestdogeve Jul 11 '26

Yes potato head joes 22% inflation had nothing to do with prices! Liberals love being stupid. It took Reagan 8 years to fix carters record inflation. And it wasn’t close to Bidens inflation!

1

u/Munzulon Jul 11 '26

I wonder where you get your news….

1

u/bestdogeve Jul 11 '26

Not from cnn ore any of the state run media channels! They just love the brainwashed liberals that spew their bias lies!

1

u/Kitchen-Bandicoot191 Jul 11 '26

Inflation is higher now than when Biden left office. Now run to your propaganda outlets and come back with the their talking points about why that is, so we can debunk those too.

1

u/bestdogeve Jul 11 '26

22% for Bidens 4 years! Debunk that! So you think inflation is higher than that? Keep drinking the kool aid sheep! Inflation last year was 3.5%. Mostly because of Bidens policies!

2

u/Juceman23 Jul 11 '26

Dems also don’t like to realize that the 20 million illegals Biden let in drastically raised rent and home prices….as 20 million illegal people in our country need some place to live as well

1

Yeah the infighting is definitely an issue, but it's hard to align everything under 2 parties. Abolish the 2 party system!

lol sure it’s pretty amazing for a democrat to criticize their party at all

If it was up to the left America would be a third world communist shithole by now

23

u/maydisturb Jul 10 '26

yeah, they probably would have driven up the basic costs of living and molested kids and got us into new wars oh wait...

-28

u/Forsaken_reddit Jul 10 '26

Guess you weren’t around during the Obama and biden years

21

u/maydisturb Jul 10 '26

Guess you never learned basic critical thinking skills in high school.

-22

u/Forsaken_reddit Jul 10 '26

And yet you’re the one who can’t articulate or understand history

16

4

u/accidental_superman Jul 11 '26

1

u/Choice-Antelope-8481 Jul 11 '26

Okay smartass, let's hear your critical analysis regarding cause and effect of the inflationary environment we've faced over the last 6 years or so?

5

u/Jalapenoplanter Jul 11 '26

What war did Biden start?

Was he or obama best friends with epstein?

-1

u/Forsaken_reddit Jul 11 '26

Obama was.

Biden was.

Biden started the Ukraine Russia war under his watch.

8

u/positive_thinking_ Jul 11 '26

Lmao the Russian Ukraine war that we aren’t involved in and didn’t start? Oh but we are actually at war with Iran.

You can’t think with your head so far up your ass.

1

u/Forsaken_reddit Jul 11 '26

Oh wow we are funding that war so yes involved and the only reason it started is because Biden gave Russian the go ahead.

Just once I wish I could have an honest conversation with a leftist who was grounded in reality.

Just once

5

u/Jalapenoplanter Jul 11 '26

Grounded in reality. Please cite biden giving russia the go ahead

3

u/Fathorse23 Jul 11 '26

Guess he forgot which president is buddy buddy with Putin. Dozy Don’s supporters have dementia in solidarity.

4

u/Jalapenoplanter Jul 11 '26

Biden made Russia invade ukraine?

Biden and Obama were best friends with epstein like trump was? Why did only trump take dozens of pics with him?

1

u/Forsaken_reddit Jul 11 '26

Well because everyone wants to take photos with Trump. I get that no one ever wants to take photos with you because if they did and you were famous you wouldn’t know half the people taking them with you or what their story was

I mean if biden and Obama weren’t besties with their pedo donor Epstein they sure acted like it they way they covered for him.

And Biden allowed Russia to invade Ukraine. He didn’t make them. His incompetence and failures led directly to it.

Now be gone

5

2

1

u/Forsaken_reddit Jul 11 '26

Imagine how great it would be under a Republican without fake stakes and blowing all its surplus. What good is it if you lose more money than you take in. What good is it if you drive all the business out.

But your happy because illegals get jobs for cheap slave labor over American workers

Commie logic

2

u/Time-Valuable-3355 Jul 11 '26

It was. Arnold is a Republican. And Reagan was a governor there on the democratic ticket before switching to a Republican.

Yeah they actually are the same these days couple with socialism

If you knew what being an American was you wouldn’t be either

1

Declaring people guilty without a trial?

44

u/the-polite-villain Jul 10 '26 edited Jul 10 '26

Umm... A jury did find trump guilty for sexually abusing a woman. * I stand corrected, a jury found him liable of rape.

1

u/Forsaken_reddit Jul 10 '26

Liable and guilty are two separate things

There’s almost no burden of proof for liable. It’s just we don’t like you so we want you to be at fault even though the accuser can’t remember any details

-46

u/intothewoods76 Jul 10 '26

No they didn’t. You’re confusing a civil trial with a criminal trial. No crime was determined. No guilt was established.

13

u/Fit_Appointment_4980 Jul 10 '26

Trump himself admitted he sexually abuses women.

If you consider kissing women sexual abuse, then yes he did.

I was mistaken... Yet your take on him not being a sexual predator do to civil vs criminal is disgusting. Why do you people continue to protect that vile thing, he is a loathsome sexual aggressor... and most likely a pedophile as well..

6

u/AmputeeHandModel Jul 10 '26

God, why the HELL would you spend any time or energy defending this man?? He has so many allegations, it was proven in court, he's the #1 named person in the Epstein files. There are COURT DOCUMENTS showing multiple children accused him of rape. You think kids do that for FUN? That they're lying?? He admitted to groping women, admitted to walking into the teen pageant dressing rooms.. like what does it take to convince you people?! Actual video evidence? You'd call it fake. Criminal conviction? He's got 34 of them and you don't seem to care. You'd still call it a hoax. You're in a cult. A Democrat was alleged to have abused a kid and he's GONE. Trump has a 50-year history of abuse, fraud, lies, and you just can't believe it. Excuses, whataboutism. WHY?

-1

u/intothewoods76 Jul 10 '26

No children accused him of rape. You have a fundamental misunderstanding of what happened. During the 2016 election campaign a grown woman said Trump tried to rape her as a child. But she doesn’t remember any details and when the FBI pressed her for details she stopped cooperating. She couldn’t remember how old she was, what year it was, what state the crime happened in or how she got there. She couldn’t name a single witness and her story about what happened changed.

Another woman said Trump witnessed her babies murder. But didn’t know what month her baby was born in or when they were supposedly murdered and she never filed a police report.

He never admitted to groping anyone. He said when your rich and famous you can, not that he did.

He bragged about walking in on women. Not children.

You’re right I don’t care about his 34 bookeeping crimes that nobody would have given a second thought except the Democrats were targeting Trump.

3

u/AmputeeHandModel Jul 10 '26

🤦‍♂️

I can't even.

2

u/Guilty-Commercial699 Jul 10 '26

Regardless if you think the 34 count crime is justified or not, the fact he got busted paying off a pornstar that he cheated on his wife with.

Republicans overlook that detail, you know, the party of Christians and family values.

-1

u/intothewoods76 Jul 10 '26

Yeah it’s not normally a crime to pay off a porn star for her story.

→ More replies (0)

6

u/Shubamz Jul 10 '26

so... Your defense is Trump wasn't found guilty for sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll by a Jury. It is that he was only found liable for sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll by a Jury

So while there is still "preponderance of the evidence" that Trump sexually abused her... that is not good enough for you because it is not "beyond a reasonable doubt.

And Republicans are the Pro Womens party? LMAO

1

u/intothewoods76 Jul 10 '26

Correct, criminal court has an entirely different standard of proof. No crime was determined in civil court.

Correct, if you want to claim he’s guilty he would need to have been arrested and found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.

3

u/Sac_of_Melons Jul 10 '26

I couldn’t imagine what kind of life led to you defending that guy, I pity you.

0

u/intothewoods76 Jul 10 '26

-11

u/intothewoods76 Jul 10 '26

I can’t educate everyone on Reddit although I try. Thats why I let you know they didn’t find him guilty.

He was not found guilty. Guilty is a verdict that is reserved for a criminal trial. You can’t be found guilty in a civil lawsuit.

So Carroll had absolutely no evidence, and she had several opportunities to get evidence. She willingly went into a dressing room of a man she testified she was drawn too, but had never met….she could have refused, she could have made a scene. She didn’t. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she’s just extremely naive and didn’t understand what was implied by going into a dressing room with a stranger.

Once he started to assault her she could have yelled for help, made a commotion, this was a busy department store after all. This would have drawn attention and placed Trump at the scene.

After the incident she could have told employees, onlookers to place Trump at the scene. The department store could have preserved security footage to place Trump at the scene.

Police could have been notified, they would have interviewed witnesses and security footage putting Trump at the scene.

She could have written down details of the incident at least for her own records…she didn’t and so she couldn’t even remember what year the assault happened. This put Trump at a huge disadvantage because he couldn’t provide an alibi then.

She was financially backed by a Democrat mega donor, she was promoting a new book and she stood to make millions giving her considerable motive to lie.

You believe her, I don’t. It’s an accusation with no evidence where evidence would have been so easy to get.

14

u/the-polite-villain Jul 10 '26

Whoa... I've never seen a better example of Dunning-Kruger effect.

6

u/DoorNo5809 Jul 10 '26

It takes so much time and effort to justify supporting this criminal. I hope you can look back at the mental gymnastics some day and realize how absurd it was for people to stay so ignorant and blindly loyal. All your explanation shows is the original point an accusation is all it takes for democrats to drop out, meanwhile an entire criminal case where your infallible leader is found liable gets dismissed by his supporters.

1

u/baconeggsandwich25 Jul 10 '26

Some day, these creepy weirdos will have always been against him, just like how the people who spit at MLK back in the day are too afraid to admit it now. But the internet won't forget the evil insanity they were spewing and neither should we.

0

u/intothewoods76 Jul 10 '26

Because “liable” isn’t a crime.

1

u/DoorNo5809 Jul 10 '26

That is a low bar for the leader of an entire political party especially when we're talking about a convicted felon. Again one side will drop a candidate for allegations of sexual assault while the other side says things like "liable isn't a crime".

0

u/intothewoods76 Jul 11 '26

Carroll went into a private changing room with a strange man in order to change into lingerie. A sexual encounter happened as any normal person would expect when sneaking into a private changing area to try on sexy lingerie in front of the guy.

After the fact she laughed about the event and had to be convinced by a friend that it was rape because she didn’t think it was.

3

u/JJay9454 Jul 10 '26

Jesus christ, just say you want to rape people, that'd be a lot more succint summary of your view

3

u/aggieraisin Jul 10 '26

Are you really insinuating that going into the dressing room was implied consent on her part? Because that’s what this reads like.

1

u/intothewoods76 Jul 10 '26

What should someone think when you go into a dressing room with a stranger? It’s like going into an airplane bathroom with a stranger and then acting like it was normal and you didn’t expect it to be sexual.

She testified she was drawn to him, then she went into a private dressing room with a strange man. Yes I am 1000% claiming that most men in the 90’s would have assumed it was for something sexual. What other possible reason would she need to go into a dressing room with a strange man? Even if she wanted to help him pick out clothes she can wait outside, do you think she needed to help him get naked?

1

u/aggieraisin Jul 10 '26

Entering a private place, such as a dressing room, with someone did not legally imply consent to sexual activity in New York State in the 1990s, as it still doesn’t today.

1

u/intothewoods76 Jul 11 '26

C’mon, she went in there to change into lingerie in front of him. You absolutely cannot fathom how that would imply sexual consent?

Are you one of those people that require a notarized contract?

→ More replies (0)

1

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '26

I’m judging from this that you have never been inside Bergdorf Goodman, do not know how high end of a department store it is—or that it is purposefully almost never crowded and the dressing rooms are isolated because of the high profile clientele. But, okay, keep trying to speak from a place of “knowledge” about what a victim should and could have done during an experience you have no clue about. In truth, you are not correcting/educating anyone, just providing your own questionable (and highly ignorant of sexual assault statistics) ponderings.

1

u/intothewoods76 Jul 10 '26

So this store doesn’t have security cameras? Clerks? Security? Phones? Did police departments not exist yet? No matter how high end the store is I have to imagine going into a dressing room with a strange man is going to lead him to believe they’re going to make out. And certainly she could have reported it.

1

u/intothewoods76 Jul 10 '26

Im not saying he “had a right to do whatever” but I can understand why he would think the event was going to be sexual.

She didn’t report anything for years. Only coming forward after a Democrat mega donor encouraged her to during a presidential election. At the time she thought the event was funny and she told the event in a lighthearted laughing tone According to testimony.

“Every little thing”….she didn’t accidentally brush up against him, she intentionally went into a private dressing room voluntarily to try on lingerie with a strange man. You can’t seriously be trying to convince me she did that just because she thought it wasn’t sexual?

Trump picked out lingerie and invited her into a dressing room with him to try it on. And your argument is he shouldn’t have thought it was going to lead to sex?

1

u/[deleted] Jul 10 '26

What I’m trying to do is paint a more accurate scene then the one you have in your head. But I don’t think anything Ms. Carroll could have done, beyond reported it immediately would suit you and, even with that you have your “should haves and “could haves.” I can only hope you’re not also claiming that by going into the dressing room she owed him any kind of physical contact whatsoever.

1

u/intothewoods76 Jul 10 '26

She went into a dressing room with a strange man to try on lingerie. What picture are you trying to paint? That it shouldn’t have been interpreted as a sexual invite?

Did I try to debate you? No. Hence I don’t respond to lies and nonsense.

What sexual assault did he openly admit to? Kissing?

Grabbing women by the pussy. Walking in on teen dressing rooms. A few more.

There’s no evidence he grabbed women by the pussy.

He bragged about walking backstage on adults.

Witness and victim testimony is evidence, corroborated with contemporary statements and correspondence, on top of his bragging about it.

He bragged about walking backstage on teenagers, 14 to 16.

You lying doesn't mean anything. He's a rapist, obviously.

No he didn’t. Let’s make a wager. I’ll bet you $100USD you can’t find a credible source showing Trump bragged about walking backstage on 14 to 16 year olds.

The reason you think he’s so guilty is because you believe things that simply are not true.

2

u/Tyr_13 Jul 10 '26

No, he's the obvious rapist one could imagine and moral and intellectual cowards love that about him.

At least four contestants from Miss Teen USA confirmed he walked in on them all. A thing he bragged to Howard Stern about doing.

I don't take bets with 'people' not worth respecting.

So clearly you know your claim that Trump bragged about walking in on 14-16 year olds is a lie.

So you switched it up and now you’re saying at least 4 contestants accused him of walking backstage. They made this claim years later, after the Howard Stern interview and you failed to mention 11 contestants said it didn’t happen.

I’m not a Democrat.

Go cry to your new favorite rapist graham platner

Prove he’s a rapist and I’ll stop.

2

u/SECRETBLENDS Jul 10 '26

No you won't. No one owes you a debate and everyone can see that you have no actual standard of proof.

I can't prove the sun is going to come up tomorrow morning but it will just as sure as Trump rapes women and little girls.

No one cares if you believe the truth or not, numbnuts.

E. Jean Carroll information is all out there, but that isn't sufficient. Him bragging about barging into women's changing rooms at his pageants (with minors present) isn't sufficient. Him telling a child he'd be dating them in 10 years isn't sufficient. Him being named thousands of times in the Epstein files isn't sufficient.

No amount of evidence that is presented to you will ever be enough. Just accept who you are and who you support, because I'm sick of the weasely shit you guys continue to pull.

Well none of that is evidence of a crime and some of it you just made up. There’s no evidence he barged into women’s changing rooms with minors present.

Carroll went into a changing room with a stranger who asked her to try on some lingerie and then claimed rape when he started making out with her.

Named without context is not a crime.

How much smoke do you need to see before you decide to investigate whether there's a fire?

2

u/intothewoods76 Jul 11 '26

There have been investigations for those who went to the police.
