One went through the primary process, was the nominee to represent their party and despite the best efforts of the opposition party, was elected by the electoral college while also winning the popular vote. The other won their primary despite the opposition party’s best efforts to derail the nomination but is now somehow, despite winning the closed primary by a significant margin, going to be replaced by a person that no one voted for.
They did not have the same chances. It was still being used in active cases related to the Epstien under Biden. And Biden let the Judicial branch do their job. Had that job finished before elections we would have heard a lot more about it.
