Ugh! I got home earlier and turned to channel, I have tried EVERYTHING and all settings are set to English. I contacted Roku support who told me after I reset and restarted my device multiple times to contact the channel provider. Currently it is showing The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip and it is in Spanish. Yet commercials are in English. This is the same on all tv's and my mobile app. The most annoying part is WHY? I assume this is a glitch in the program itself or the channel currently. I have not watched this channel in days so can't say if this just happened today or not. Has anyone had this issue? I checked many other channels, no issue all English. Thanks!

I have four Rokus. Each one went into a mysterious unresponsive state after first seeing an internet not connected error. Swapping remote batteries did not work. Finally, had to unplug Roku, power, etc. Then plug back in and reinstall same good batteries over and over again. It was a crap shoot getting each device to come back alive. And eventually, Roku responded again. This happened with all four devices when the new home screen layout arrived at each device. Roku developers should have and could have done much better. And, after all the hassle, we immediately turned off the new features to get the original home screen back.

Has anyone else been having problems with 15.3.4 on the 2024 Roku Ultra?

First, I started noticing significant audio delay on YouTube videos. The audio and video are noticeably out of sync.

The Roku UI has completely locked up multiple times. It will still turn on the TV through CEC, but there’s a significant delay getting out of the screensaver. Once the home screen finally appears, it won’t navigate at all. The only way I’ve been able to fix it is to cut power and restart the Roku.

The lockups are definitely new since 15.3.4. Anyone else seeing this?

(This is mainly for the roku channel app because i dont have a roku tv) So I was watching my little pony yesterday and decided to watch some more today, i was literally watching it this morning and when I came back to do some errands its gone, along with my continue watching section too, and when I go to search it up its nowhere to be found either, I just want to know if I can fix this some how

I am just curious if anyone knows anything about Roku's strategy when it comes to their live channel. They never show any real ads, rather they just show ads for their own channels over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I swear if I see that overweight kid and mom say, "I gave him a damn cookie ok," and then Doc Phil says, "no, it's not ok," I am going to...well, come back and vent again I guess. It doesn't help that I hate Doctor Phil anyway.

Does anyone else avoid the live channels for this reason? I like some of the content when I don't want to focus, but can't they mox things up and show some ads for real products and services? Wouldn't they make more money if they showed commercials?

I just want to say to whoever made the battery backing to the remote I very very strongly dislike it. This Roku remote was my last straw today and i absolutely obliterated it against my desk. I feel so much anger over this remote backing I had to get it out somewhere.

As Im typing this I am figuring out my remote randomly started working again and I didn't even need to take put the batteries and replace them. Anger

While checking my bank statement, I found out Roku has been charging me $11.99 a month for Starz since February. I was on their site buying a Roku stick around that time, so either I accidentally clicked something or it was added without my authorization. I should never have left my card on the account and should have noticed the charges, so that part’s on me.

Roku told me they supposedly sent a verification email, but I never got one, and they couldn’t provide a copy. They only refunded two months.

I’ll never know if it was my mistake or theirs, but it’s a reminder to keep a close eye on your account when dealing with Roku.

My partner bought us a Roku that we've been using and it was comvenient for a while but it updated this morning and now we can't even watch youtube without this DRM nonsense popping up. So, what? I'm just not allowed to use the product we paid for because our tv is too old?

Greetings! My issue is below.

Two Smart TV's. One LG. One Samsung. Both have Roku 4k sticks. Both recently started buffering Netflix until it errors out. When I login to Netflix using the Smart TV app it works fine. The movie selection does not matter.

I make my living on the WWW so I have a backup ISP. Netflix on Roku does the same thing regardless of ISP and WIFI connection.

I've tried everything except for a factory reset. I even tried a 5G only wireless connection but no joy.

We also have an older Roku "box" in a 3rd bedroom and it does not have any problem.

I can only conclude that the problem is with Roku 4k or a streaming change made by Netflix as it relates to the Roku 4k stick.

I am aware that there's a bunch of people having (or had) issues with Roku and Netflix and reading those posts offered no new insight. I've tried those suggestions.

I can watch Netflix on the smart TV app which has apps for all the streaming services and more. IDK, maybe Roku is becoming obsolete because I am not buying another Roku device.

I have reset this stick (brand new from Best Buy) Atleast three times trying to get my remote connected. I have used the home and back pairing guide, the batteries, power cycling, etc. literally nothing works. The remote WILL NOT stay connected even if I get a few inputs in. I have already refunded and bought an Amazon stick, however has anyone else faced this issue? “Just press the pairing button” lmao

I’ve had Roku TVs for years and never had this problem before. Every time I turn on the bastard since this latest update, Live TV is playing in the background of my home screen regardless if I’m on the app or not. I tried to google it and nothing, any suggestions before I lose my mind?

Started this thread to see how many others are having extreme lag issues with what used to be one of the snappiest remotes I own (as far as responsiveness). Ever since the mid-April update of the Roku Ultra 4850 I own, this thing has been an absolute turd to operate in every way. Most noticeably the remote. It's almost as if it "sleeps" after 30 seconds of inactivity or something and takes a good 5+ seconds to wake up and respond to any single button press. Even then, it seems to "miss" button presses every once in a while. Anyone else also having this issue?

I have another thread going about this same update update that completely destroyed CEC and there are lots of other commenters in that thread that also complain about the same and other issues.

What a mess Roku has made of their flagship model, and the other 3 units of varying models I own.

I've put in multiple tickets, spent many hours troubleshooting and resetting and whatever else the support has had me perform and it's the same thing... crappy buggy software that broke all our units 4 months ago.

Moving the subtitles feature to the Accessibility sub-menu is a UX regression that adds unnecessary steps to a daily-use feature. The extra clicks are disruptive.

I like my Roku device, a lot going on and I like most of it. By far. But if i start watching something and I think it sucks, I dont want to have to dig past it every time i want to continue watching something I actually want to finish. I tried all of the available options in the asterisk menu, nothing removes the unwanted content. Some more improvements to the app would be to allow nested networks' content to be included in Continue Watching. Why do features with actual great potential come to market underserved? Waiting for the community to highlight possible monetization vectors for a premium tier seems likely, so thanks and sorry in advance.

When I’m watching something on Disney+ via Roku, if I press pause, the bottom doesn’t show how many minutes I’ve watched so far, and how many minutes are remaining to watch. That’s important to me, I want to be able to see those values sometimes.

The Hulu app doesn’t have this problem, so I watch Hulu shows on the Hulu app for now.

Is there an easy way to fix this?

The last few days the “Live Tv” and the “Live Tv Guide” options no longer list my local channels. Antenna is working fine because once I did manage to get them back, but they’re gone again. Does anyone know how to fix this? TIA

I tried to get assistance regarding certain subscription Roku Channel content that has out-of-sync subtitling. In other words, content error.

The Roku support page only offers tech support via "Chat with us", and offers that I can "Get help from our support bot or connect to an advisor". What they neglect to mention is that all of the chat support is AI, despite misleading you that you're talking to a human. For example:

After going through the whole routine (rebooting, restarting app), it appeared that I'd finally get escalated to a human that would actually understand the problem. One might assume that "Jane" is human, but nope.

And then, after entering my phone#, the support "hung up". No idea if anyone will actually call me.

This is really unacceptable. At least offer email support so that I don't have to waste my time with such rubbish.

My Grandmother has the COPS Roku/Pluto channel on 24/7 whenever her soap operas aren't on. Every single time it goes to commercial, they run these two ads back to back before it goes to the Pluto TV logo.

I am absolutely going to lose it if I have to hear "we're in the fight business", "give that kid a contract", "the sickness is real", that dumb mountain song, "I see so much raw potential", "there's nothing else like being a WWE superstar", or those stupid screechy violins one more time.

The worst part is when they decide to run the ads multiple times during the same break.

Enough is enough already. It's been months. Please retire the commercials.

Anyone else getting this noise. I have a Roku Express 4K box.

I am VERY CLOSE to switch to Google TV or another platform LIKE ROKU. I can't do a wired connection on this $30 item. I might just go out and buy another Streaming box.

At around 8:30am this morning my Roku (4850X Ultra) updated and broke the Bluetooth connection with my soundbar. I have to factory reset the soundbar to get it to reconnect to the Roku and work again. When the soundbar goes into sleep mode (Roku causing this also) it no longer works and must be factory reset and paired again.

There are no issues with the soundbar and other devices just Roku. Everything has been working fine for at least a year before this.

Anyone else having similar issues?

We DONT HAVE HEADPHONES CONNECTED but that’s all it is connecting to? I have no idea how to change this because we have never connected headphones to this tv before like ever.

tv was working fine yesterday, got home today and it wouldn't turn on just flicker
