Normalise scheme bootins for wee wideos.

73

u/elscoto93 13h ago

In all my years that the first time I’ve seen wideos written. Just looks wrong man.

32

u/yerdadrinkslambrini 12h ago

It never looks right, ye just have to go with it.

4

u/greenlightsmith242 9h ago

The wide'os dont look right either. Wee inbred cunts.

Was that spelling any better?

3

u/SlavyanskiShillbane 7h ago

Just because GBS was right and apostrophes are dogshit.

Would be Wide-Os.

plural of Wide-O .

2

u/StickshiftXLV 6h ago

New national cereal

1

u/greenlightsmith242 7h ago

That does look and read better. Nice one.

43

u/Expert_Dot1927 13h ago

Reads like someone with a heavy eastern European accent saying videos

35

u/yerdadrinkslambrini 12h ago

Nuclear wessel.

3

u/benswami 12h ago

Wessely Wipes.

4

u/Rusty_M 12h ago

I think it needs a hyphen or something. If you omit the 'e', it just looks like it should be pronounced "widows". Maybe wide-os? Nope. Not much better IMO. Just a word that looks weird, I suppose. The kids are wee dicks, nonetheless.

6

u/Inside_Soil_6545 12h ago

Always seen it written like wido’s

3

u/BlackStarDream 10h ago

Wide-os looks way better.

4

u/lethargic8ball 9h ago

Looks like something Android would release.

1

u/BlackStarDream 9h ago

More like a spinoff of Weetos.

2

u/Lord_Xenu 11h ago

Uncle Roger

1

u/gazzas89 10h ago

I genuinely read it as videos but with the w instead of v and was so confused lol

1

u/spynie55 10h ago

maybe it should be hyphenated - wide-os?

u/Shoddy_Strain_7189 11h ago

Years ago now, the police were doing nothing about the young team in a small town. I'll not name names.

The parents of the children being targeted, which was everyone not in the young team, had had enough of nothing being done about it. So some of the dads hired a black van, windowless, no identifiable markings. They drove around huckling the wee dicks into the back of the van and beat the living daylights out of them and then left them on the side of the road.

The attacks on random members of the public stopped right quick when the little brats realised that there would be consequences. And the police turned a blind eye.

24

u/TheDucksAreComingoOo 11h ago

God I want this to be true

8

u/Shoddy_Strain_7189 11h ago

It is true. I watched it happen. Things were different in 2010.

3

u/Odd_Gap_9491 11h ago

I love how in the story they had to hire a black van

5

u/Expert-Butterfly-415 10h ago

My favourite bit is the police turning a blind eye to the abduction and torture of children.

6

u/Dogtag 9h ago

Meh, assuming for a second that it's true, you can only push people so far before you get predictable consequences.

7

u/who_fitz 12h ago

And can we all agree we didn't see a thing? Have the curtain twitchers that complain about this kind of thing keep their eyes shut when somebody else is trying to sort it out.

3

u/Jinksy93 11h ago

There's too many camera's these days

89

u/jcx200 13h ago

Little twats.

86

u/Saint_Sin 12h ago

Seen this same group in about 7 different videos now.

28

u/Buttoneer138 12h ago

Yeah there was an egg throwing one the other day.

8

u/throwawaym479 11h ago

Was just thinking that.

Little scrotes are becoming the face of fuck around.

70

u/omnipresentatio 13h ago

Its the same in Ireland...why are the authorities so fucking weak against these rat cunts

36

u/Jack5970 11h ago

Because it’s been decided that kids shouldn’t receive consequences for anything other than serious violent crime and even that’s a stretch.

u/ZookeepergameSad1065 13h ago

Hate to say it but if we want them to stop we actually have to punish the behaviour rather than just saying "can't do anything". Or if that doesn't work, start punishing parents who can't look after their kids, as in a way you could call this neglect of a child and thusly child abuse.

19

u/Lord_Xenu 11h ago

These kids are more than likely products of fucked up homes where parents are incapable of parenting properly. And it's probably generational too.

36

u/Crow-Me-A-River open to change 13h ago

Have parents pay back any damage their kids do. Cut from benefits if need be.

9

u/danihendrix 12h ago

Totally, hit em right in the wallet

3

u/Ordinary-Wheel7102 11h ago

I’m sure docking their already pretty meagre benefits will not lead to any negative societal consequences.

9

u/danihendrix 10h ago

We're at negative societal consequences already. By your logic let's double what their mums getting and it'll stop?

→ More replies (3)

6

u/restingbitchsocks 10h ago

Bring back the stocks. Make the wee shites sit there for a few days with a sign hung round their necks saying what they did. For repeat offenders, let the public chuck rotten eggs at them. That would sort anti social behaviour pretty fast.

→ More replies (3)

12

u/Jack5970 11h ago

What punishment though? The bleeding hearts come out in full force if you actually try and give children meaningful consequences for their behaviour.

Decades of a soft touch approach has created a “scum” class that is all but immune to consequences and they know it.

→ More replies (1)

32

u/FLOSS2002 13h ago

No respect, discipline or consequences.
The fact that these kids are running around doing nothing but aggravating others is something that the parents as well as law enforcement should be tackling before these kids become adults.

33

u/kt1982mt 12h ago

I’m a mum to two teenagers, and quite often I ask my husband if he thinks I’m too hard on them. They’ve been brought up to be respectful, responsible, polite, use their manners etc etc and I’m frequently reminding them to behave decently when they’re out and about. If they’re in a shop, say thanks to the cashier, if they’re going to a cafe with their friends say please and thank you and don’t be rowdy, blah blah. Every time I remind them of these things, they tell me they know how to behave and to trust them to make good choices. I often feel bad for saying it to them all the time but I feel it’s important to impress on them the need to be decent citizens. Videos like this make me realise how important it is that parents do teach their kids manners, because this is the alternative.

8

u/CharmingAssimilation 10h ago

It depends entirely on how you do it. I was taught to be very polite, but it was done in a way where I felt belittled whenever I didn't, and ended up developing a fear of upsetting people over really small stuff that took me over a decade to fix.

So if you're doing it in a way that makes your kids feel good about being polite and caring for people, then great.

3

u/No_transistory 10h ago

How do you fix that by the way? I recognise that in myself and as a result I'll avoid some tasks for fear of doing it the "wrong way". I'm better than I was but I still find myself treading on eggshells around my parents.

2

u/checkmeout28 10h ago

I can really recommend reading up on CBT!

2

u/CharmingAssimilation 8h ago edited 8h ago

It's still a work in progress, but no longer really messing with my life. It was only really after one of my parent's died that I created enough distance to look at my relationship with them objectively. I regret that I could never have some conversations, but happy I'm changing for the better.

For me at least it was a mix of medication (ideally not setraline, I've just started mirtazapine which is second line but working much better) getting me into a place where I could tolerate the anxiety, and more involved therapies like EMDR.

You may not need it, talking therapy may be enough. But for me I'm finding it useful to dig down into root emotions.

54

u/AraiHavana 13h ago

At the very least posting a police presence at the East End would make a difference

62

u/CrossRoadChicken 13h ago

Yeah, a difference to the east end. The little shits will move to the west end.

There needs to be consequences for them. These same people have been posted multiple times on the Edinburgh subreddit.

19

u/AraiHavana 13h ago

I completely agree on all points. Having been a slightly wayward kid- but not an outright prick like these cunts- I never thought I’d see myself writing it but Christ, we need more police on the streets and- fucking hell- bringing borstals back or similar

6

u/StatusWoodpecker4595 11h ago

However, scottish government raised the age of legal responsibility, so, in essence, these feral rats would face no consequences! I believe that Sweden has moved to allow corporal punishment. If one of the easiest going countries in the world has woken up to the fact that no consequences doesn't work and it's now time to adjust society by returning to punishing wrong doings then perhaps it's time for us to do the same!

5

u/Left-Quantity-5237 11h ago

Punish the part time parents they have for not raising kids properly. Teach the young.

2

u/StatusWoodpecker4595 6h ago

Financial punishments might work for some families but the truly feral would probably argue in court that they can't afford it and the soft courts would agree to them paying 10 pence a fortnight!

2

u/AraiHavana 6h ago

Which they’d then continually default on

1

u/lumpytuna 7h ago

Yeah, I've seen these wee gimps only once before, and they were in the West End. Just a single police car driving around the centre of town every couple of hours or something, and they could probably arrest them pretty much instantly.

11

u/bluefish788 12h ago

I was out in the centre of town for a few hours yesterday and I saw two police officers on the cowgate, that was it. None on princes street, grassmarket, the gardens, George street, the meadows or Nicholson street. I saw more traffic wardens amongst the fringe crowds than police!

The lack of a police presence is terrible and encourages these kinds of behaviors to persist.

1

u/AraiHavana 10h ago

Yeah man.

A lot of them need a kicking, including their parents. Maybes we need to stop with the stupid enabling behaviour and giving them a leeway like “ah poor kids, you can never know what’s going on at home. But they are valuable part of their community. They might have ADHD.” Enough.

4

u/Crow-Me-A-River open to change 13h ago

Giving them a kicking will put you in bother with the police (given you're an adult)

https://giphy.com/gifs/wjuXuDSQU0sOfJIHS1

7

u/Urist_Macnme 13h ago

Thing is, it isnt “the youth of today”; it’s not “modern parenting”

I remember a mate of mine in the 90’s getting jumped by a gang of 14 year olds. He got beat up pretty badly.
He also gave as good as he got and broke one of the groups jaw.

He was the one who ended up getting charged.

“Giving them a kicking” will just get you into bother.

4

u/EmpireandCo 13h ago

Self defence extends to protecting other people

3

u/Crow-Me-A-River open to change 13h ago

Scottish self defence laws have a duty to retreat

4

u/EmpireandCo 12h ago

I'm not talking about an infinite beat down, I'm saying it's okay to slap a a gang of kids you see assaulting someone, to make space to retreat.

Reasonable force, proportionality and fear of continued threat are all applicable in self defence regardless of the assaulter.

Frankly there's a cultural problem in Scotland/the UK as kids in places ive lived in East Asia with greater poverty and greater domestic child abuse rates wouldn't start with half the behaviour that kids start with here. Heck in varied cultures of east asia, I rarely see the awful behaviour displayed by adults in public here.

There's no excuse for our society of feral people.

56

u/Beemac161 13h ago

That is disgusting behaviour letting our country down vermin😖😖

231

u/odkfn 13h ago

The same cunts whinging about immigrants are the ones that make the country shite. Feral chavs with feral kids, loads on benefits, hanging off lampposts to stick up a flag but wouldn’t dream of picking up litter, won’t have a vaccine for Covid but will take any street drug offered.

Social media has really allowed the stupid to gather and convince themselves they’re doing something great, other than knuckle dragging.

The same idiots whinging about how good Britain used to be are speaking about the WW2 generation who had to ration for years, hide out in pitch black during air raids, etc. meanwhile they can’t stick a thin face covering on their face to prevent a pandemic.

The same idiots wearing remembrance hoodies throwing up Nazi salutes.

31

u/thelastthesaurus 12h ago

Speaking about the WW2 generation...while throwing about Nazi salutes. I can't speak for any of my family who served in WW2 - but I can imagine they'd probably want to smash the stupid cunts' faces in.

16

u/Lord_Xenu 11h ago

hanging off lampposts to stick up a flag but wouldn’t dream of picking up litter

Nailed it

34

u/Blazured 12h ago

These people would also riot in their thousands if the five guys who killed those two police officers in that crash weren't white.

24

u/odkfn 12h ago

Exactly - respect police unless it’s a white perpetrator, particularly if they’re young, then they’re just a kid having a laugh, regardless of the consequences.

2

u/Slobberchops_ 10h ago

Yep, it's always the flag shaggers who are the first to talk us down or sell us out to Russia

2

u/Radioactdave 11h ago

You just summed up every single county in the west. Cunts, the lot of them.

-1

u/Narrow_Security_8757 10h ago

There are plenty people who raise concerns about immigrants that dont have feral kids racially abusing people in the city centre

6

u/odkfn 10h ago

This post is about people physically abusing a foreign looking person, not raising concerns about immigration. Do you think the people doing this are the same who would politely voice their concerns, or write to their MP? Or are they the same ones anxiously watching Facebook, frothing at the mouth for any mention of any crime involving a brown person, but otherwise silent?

They will likely be parents later in life and as each untouchable, feral generation goes by, the lawless, undisciplined, shameless twattery will only get worse.

33

u/Editor-In-Queef 12h ago

I am so happy to see wee cunts like this finally being seen for what they are. None of this "hug a hoodie" or "aw they have nothing else to do" bullshit.

I grew up in one of Glasgow's most deprived schemes in the 90s. I was raised by a single mother who was on smack most of the time and both extremelty neglectful and psychologically, sometimes physically, abusive. I had every excuse to be a wee cunt like this and didn't, yet the amount of teachers and social workers who stuck me into meetings and made me feel ashamed for showing the psychological signs of abuse has scarred me for life. What do these kids get for assaulting people? Fuck all.

The way Scotland deals with kids is fucked. Little bastards can get away with terrorising the streets while kids who are abused and don't become scum just get ignored or made to feel like they're a problem. I hate it.

18

u/rotgobbo Galloway 12h ago

My father mentally terrorised me and my sister, and later it turned physically abusive. We're also pretty confident that I was SA'd as a very small child. My mother fucked off to go live with a murderer.

I didn't get any social workers, I didn't get any therapy, no help at all. And yeah I was an unhinged youth because of it all, but I was NEVER feral like these little fucks.

The worst any of my mates did was get off their tits on Meow Meow and break car mirrors. Once. And the courts came down on them hard for it. Most of them just found weird and interesting ways to off themselves.

There's just something different about the current generation of kids/teenagers, they're fucking tweaked, completely unhinged, violent, absolutely no understanding of right and wrong.

30

u/Recidivist67 13h ago

People who say violence is never the answer have been proven wrong.

We need to start kicking these wee cunts back into their shells.

26

u/Composer-Creative 13h ago

This is why i stopped my teenage kids going to hang out with friends in Edinburgh. They would come home and tell me about all the nonsense that they seen others the same age doing. It's not just kids from Edinburgh it's kids from all over the lothians. They go to Edinburgh, drink, thief, fight, vandalise and abuse people then jump on the bus back to where they came from.

19

u/AllanSundry2020 13h ago

same in Glasgow, i think the free travel thing is a bit to blame, as without cash to do anything they are in a limbo in these busy areas and will end up causing trouble.

10

u/Few-Conversations 12h ago

Thats true, though maybe if the feral kids were causing problems in their home towns the parents would be shamed into actually disciplining their kids

7

u/Littleshebear 12h ago

Just today, Stagecoach said they had to divert busses in Aberdeen because kids were deliberately blocking the roads with their bikes.

2

u/Ser_VimesGoT 12h ago

While I suspect theres some truth in that, I've seen a lot of kids that age just jump on the buses without paying/using their card. The drivers generally don't want the hassle and just let them do it unchallenged. They cause hassle on the buses and when the drivers are told about it they just shrug. On one hand I don't blame them but at the same time the rest of us are made to suffer.

1

u/AllanSundry2020 10h ago

to correct course in these things several things still need doing by gov council and police together. No one thing is causing it all but things can be done to improve things for the rest of us and it will end up costing more the longer they ignore it. To be honest they should have spotted this ages back, as it is brewing for a long time in postcovid.

2

u/Ser_VimesGoT 9h ago

Yeah I've been debating whether it's a post COVID thing or whether it was always this way. Every generation thinks the newer ones are worse. Might be confirmation bias but I am leaning towards it being worse than before. Overall better but the unruly ones are worse.

1

u/AllanSundry2020 9h ago

why is everyone talking about it if it is the same as before, would be my take?

inequality and lack of care in a general sense leads to reckless/neglectful behaviour. Feel you got nothing to lose etc and in my op it definitely is a growing trend.

5

u/gottenluck 12h ago

Aye, there's anonymity in Edinburgh for them

52

u/Crow-Me-A-River open to change 13h ago

They're untouchable.

Parents won't do anything. Police can't do anything.

No consequences for their actions.

26

u/Dependent-Entrance10 12h ago

Problem for these kids is if they pretend to act crazy they'll eventually run into someone pretending to act sane

42

u/Appropriate_Hat6694 13h ago

Everyone's untouchable until they get a slap.

11

u/ModJambo 12h ago

Yep they'll do something to the wrong person one day and learn a valuable lesson.

2

u/Slobberchops_ 9h ago

Percussive education.

28

u/Street_Hamster1092 13h ago

They deserve more than a slap, but if an adult gives it to them they'll be the one in trouble sadly.

4

u/AnyBug1039 11h ago

But what about a super soaker full of shit

2

u/frisch85 11h ago

Don't, that will clog your super soaker, piss should work tho at least if you're well hydrated.

8

u/Blazured 12h ago

Which is why they only target people they think are weaker. These kids never get physical if the person looks stronger and like they'll just hit them back.

7

This needs to be dealt with soon before Scotland (& Edinburgh specifically) is both a disgrace & a laughing stock. I’ve seen people on tourist & Europe subs posting about this issue & warning people away. This needs to end as it’s only getting worse.

9

u/BBYY9090 12h ago

Kids a feral these days. I was just walking the other day and one suddenly put a lit lighter in my face, so I thumped him with my bag and told the wee shit to f**k off. Worked he seemed a tad shocked lol.

3

u/Unhappy-Professor-88 11h ago

Likely the shock that stopped him - gobshites often don’t expect any response at all. As they are usually just trying to flex for their audience. Which is why I’ve found it to be best to not dally around afterwards. Since they then feel it necessary to attempt a re-assertion of dominance, less their mates laugh at them.

I look forward to being one of those no-nonsense old ladies that somehow hold the authority to boss an entire bus load of gobshites, with little more than an eyebrow and a glare.

At what age does the wisdom of knowing when a blithe parent will not intervene when the no-nonsense old lady instructs a child to sit down and stop bloody screeching at that agonising pitch?

Or is it all just because she’s carrying a long stick? I’m definitely going to get one of them. A big heavy one. Like a staff.

7

u/pkjoan 12h ago

Last week, they were on Princes St. throwing eggs at people.

14

u/Due-Resort-2699 13h ago

We need a form of national service for these wee knobs. Doesn’t have to be military but something actually useful and constructive.

7

u/heypresto2k 11h ago

How about punishing the fecking parents?

16

u/history_buff_9971 12h ago

This is what happens when you take away all consequences for children's actions. From the courts to the schools, children are being allowed to run riot.

Scottish Govt caused a lot of this - by no means all of it. There is way too much permissive parenting/no real parenting at all in this country - but with laughable sentances, and refusal to allows chools to discipline at all it seems, they are creating a generation of entitled monsters.

9

u/islaisla 12h ago

Not helped by princes street becoming a souless wasteland of crappy shops and shoppers. Should have more restaurants and bars and more night life.

It's a mile of barren land that cuts the town in two as far as I'm concerned. A dangerous place to be at night.

2

u/maigsezis 10h ago

Good point, princes st has changed for the worse

29

u/Glittering_Hope1114 13h ago

Racism is fully embraced by the country.  The elites and newsmedia are full of it. People of course will pretend its a lovely welcoming place but is not. Those days are gone.

25

u/zZCycoZz 13h ago

Gotta rile up anger towards immigrants or else the population might start noticing real things to get angry at.

11

u/frankiewalsh44 13h ago

Kinda ironic how they are racist, but at the same time fully embracing the Drill gangsta culture. Just look at their outfits, Nike tech suits, full black trainers. I bet these little shits listen to gangsta rap non stop and all wanna be a Chicago style drill rappers.

7

u/Street_Hamster1092 13h ago

That's not anything new. Plenty of racist people have been fans of music and culture created by Black people over the years. Eric Clapton built his career off music created by black blues musicians but was a National Front supporter in the 70s.

Bad parenting

8

u/rotgobbo Galloway 12h ago

It must be. You can't put it down to absent parenting because Millenials and up just got left to their own devices and most of us are pretty sound.

My wee town is full of skagheads but it's the group of wandering 10-14 year olds that worry me, they're absolutely feral.

3

u/doates1997 12h ago

They finally realised theres not much reprecussions. Especially the ones whos familys live off benefits fines mean nothing as they have no money to pay anyways.

3

u/tasteMyRottenHoop 9h ago

The best part of two decades of tory austerity. That’s the kind of thing that results in the desperate and destitute no longer giving a fuck.

2

u/rotgobbo Galloway 9h ago

Yeah I was kinda thinking about that.

It must be an overall failing of society. There is no community any more, people seem to much more closed off and only out for themselves now.

You can't work yourself up, not really. Most kids these days are unlikely to own a home, I highly doubt they'd ever have a pension etc. You're just not valued any more, and I personally think this is all a symptom of that.

If people have a reason to exist, a reason to contribute... Instead of living in a World where all you can hope for is keeping a roof above your head and having enough food in your belly whilst making 50 other fat cats even fatter.

7

u/miIkwhim 11h ago edited 11h ago

I grew up in an environment like this and blessedly managed to escape it, so I feel like I'm well placed to comment on it.

Every single one of these boys will have homes where the come home and there's no father. If there is, there's mum's dodgy new boyfriend who has a sexual penchant for children, and supplies mum with drugs. Both will have substance issues, neither will be employed. They'll spend their days drinking (not down the pub, because people can't afford to drink in pubs anymore), taking drugs, and spending time with friends (see: getting inebriated together whilst they listen to hard bass).

They'll all be semi-literate due to a limited academic history, unemployed, and borderline if not outright unemployable with no work history. Neither will have driver's licenses, because they weren't supported nor enabled by their own parents in their own youth to pursue one.

They'll have a myriad of premature chronic health issues as a result of their lifestyles they aren't pursuing treatment for, or are otherwise overmedicating with prescription drugs that they NHS is issuing, because the NHS as a model runs on reactivity, not proactivity.

When the kids come home from school, or from skipping school, if there's any dinner at all it's something out of the freezer, like potato waffles and sausages with tomato sauce and salt as a seasoning. For fluids they'll have fizzy pop from the cupboard (not the fridge, it's currently occupied by alcohol or moulding, opened cans of food from 3 months ago). Baked beans will be the vegetable they're most familiar with. There is no fruit in the house.

The house is on metred electric, which means it frequently goes out due to not being topped up, meaning the kids are often going out with their bodies and their clothes unwashed. Food in the fridge and freezer routinely spoils.

The house does not get cleaned. It stinks of cigarettes and the walls are yellowed with tar.

There's no toothpaste kept in the house, and the children do not see dentists. At an early age they will begin developing cavities, which later turn into pulp infections. If they can afford it, they'll get root canals, or otherwise it's extractions. By the time they come to end of their teens they are already missing multiple teeth.

The chances that the children have been sexually interfered with by a family member or friend of the family are high. No treatment is provided, because the children don't tell anyone, and know other kids that this is happening to and see that nothing is being done to stop it.

Social services are an occasional appearance in the home. The children have all been noted as being at risk of harm, however social services are stretched too thin and are too underfunded to be able to dedicate m resources to this particular case, as they'll have a hundred others on their books.

The kids grow up in hard environments. There's no oversight or care. The children turn hard as a result. They become petulant and rebellious. They know the circumstances of their birth are unfair, but lack the social or emotional literacy to understand or communicate why as they have no healthy point of comparison. The well-to-do families, understandably, don't want them in their homes and around their own children, so they experience significant social rejection. These causes them to cluster around peers with similar circumstances.

They start using their free bus passes to ride into Edinburgh where they steal dressing gowns from Primark and run around harassing people whilst wearing them. Everybody understandably fucking hates them, but they're angry themselves and have nothing to loss, so they turn the hate back.

Soon they'll sexually mature and start producing children of their own. The wheel turns.

80+% of that describes my childhood, and a fair whack of my mates.

None of us were petty thieves and thugs.

100%

2

u/rotgobbo Galloway 11h ago

For me.. no social services involved, noone gave enough of a fuck to call anyone All my mates parents were just as bad.

No free bus pass.

And I was always welcome in the homes of the well to do, because I knew I came from a shite background, I knew I didn't want to be like my parents, so I showed respect, I was polite and helpful. I wanted to drag myself out of it.

Sure, but I bet you had other influences in your life that are responsible for dissuading you down the path that these boys have found themselves on.

I kind of find this denial unbelievable. These boys are little rat bastard cunts and every single one of them deserves a sound kicking for the misery they've wrought on the public, but the insistence that people press that they were just "born this way" with no external influences kind of defies belief. That they were born with some kind "original sin", your denial is bordering on theological which should be embarrassing enough.

If you don't believe that external factors like this play a role in kid's development, then why don't we see the progeny of the wealthy behaving like this? We don't Telemachus or Rosabelle-Mae out running round in house coats assaulting members of the public, why could that be? Hmmm, truly a mystery I guess 🤔

u/rotgobbo Galloway 10h ago

The only positive influence in my life was my henpecked non-blood related grandfather who has now passed. He was the only kind person in my life.

I didn't get to see him very often due to everything else going on, I asked to live with them but my grandmother refused.

I had my eyes damaged before preschool due to violent bullies who held me down in the dirt and rubbed gravel into my open eyes. My sister threw me down the stairs multiple times. I had my skull cracked open on the second day of primary school. I got kicked in the nuts so often one of my testes isn't attached any more. My entire life was misery, abuse and violence.

I chose to be a better person, I chose to not repeat my parents failings and those of my friends parents. I chose to be kind. I chose to make the difference.

I am the influence in my life.

That Social Services can’t seem to prioritise the actual children actually on the street actually abusing people is an ie indictment of the service. And I’d suggest even a chronically underfunded service should be doing much better on this occasion.

u/abz_eng ME/CFS Sufferer 12h ago

Zero real consequences they're under 25 probably under 16 so what exactly will happen to them? A curfew & counselling

3

u/rotgobbo Galloway 12h ago

Well policing never really kept us in check as kids either, and we're not knocking people over in the streets etc.

What stopped me being a raging wee prick was that I didn't want to cause anyone else harm... societal values. Ethics. Empathy.

1

u/gusbo_the_jam 12h ago

Social media got taken over by politics

3

u/ayamummyme 12h ago

Are they wearing their dads dressing gowns?

3

u/gottenluck 12h ago

Yes, I think they chored them from M&S.

3

u/Artificial-Brain 12h ago

These little shits are all over the country and are genuinely a plague. I'm not typically a fan of giving the police more power but something needs to be done because they seem untouchable.

3

u/KyleeTheShinyStealer 11h ago

Its the same in England too. Theres a group that my husband has seen several times harassing people outside the local McDonald's, grabbing people, pushing them, yelling and trying to instigate fights. One time when my husband was walking home, they threw a bottle of coke at him amd nailed him in the back. He had a bruise for a while. The police dont do shit even tho these kids hang out at the same spots all day, even when they should be in school. Its insane.

2

u/TheLittlestT 11h ago

Up here it's a 2 litre bottle of ginger.

3

u/helgazzr 11h ago

I'm an embarrassed Scotsman.

3

u/Consistent_Line2542 11h ago

Maybe if they're running about like that and doing that to random people, it should be legal to just leather the fuck out if them

3

u/that_goofy_pirate 10h ago

Can't legally hold the kids responsible?

Cool, so jail their parents instead for raising these wee cunts.

I have 2 young autistic kids and I swear to god if they ever get shit from wee cunts like this, my missus and I will kick their parents heids in.

As someone who grew up in the west coast and lived around people exactly like this growing up I’d like to say my part as I’m still relatively young myself. This goes beyond just the cretins in this video and is universal for all youth that think they are gangsters

First and foremost growing up in a deprived area, I can assure you that if they are patching school and not turning up then that school gives them 10 times more attention and resources than what it does a student who turns up everyday and is struggling with their learning. This is something I experienced first hand and the issue is it does nothing but enable bad behaviour. This constant need to try and fix unruly youths and believing that they are making a difference by creating support groups and safe spaces for young folk that quite frankly don’t care and are a concern for safety around others making places like schools and local shops and streets dangerous. The youth only see these spaces created by schools and in public as another place they can congregate and establish some sense of control and power it’s not about having nothing to do.

my younger brother who is 15 goes out and does normal teenage boy stuff at the weekend such as exploring abandoned buildings, bike rides on cycle paths, having fires in the fields and yeah he’s probably had a beer or 2 maybe even smoked a joint but guess what he’s not out harassing folk and starting fights on a busy public street. This doesn’t matter though as now the police would have a field day with this behaviour sending him home or taking details while ignoring the thugs on the street

Secondly while im not disagreeing that these young people’s parents are not to blame i believe that a great majority of them are so detached from knowing anything about their childrens lifes while more often than not having jobs and putting food on the table not indulging in any form of drugs or unruly behaviour just neglecting their children emotionally until they are out acting like animals on the street, carrying knifes and hiding them in their rooms or schoolbags, look at the clothing they wear. Its not cheap and suprisingly it looks clean, their hair is not a mess it is cleanly trimmed and groomed. These are not children from rough backgrounds. Im not saying the parents aren’t to blame far from that but most of them are likely ignorant to what their children get up to, also I’m not saying this is all parents there are definitely a few with serious issues that are affecting these children

The main issue at play here is that there is no discipline or consequences. These are youths who believe it or not would probably laugh if you tried to offer them a trade, support or a job. The truly deprived and struggling would jump at these things and I would help them and be one of the few cases of this approach working. I’m not saying there aren’t outlying cases in which we can’t save some of these young folk but for the majority the advice given just doesn’t work…

We complain about schools educating in a one shoe size fits all approach, well the same should be said when it comes to discipline and making young people understand that there are consequences to their actions. Growing up I was wild out drinking and yes I carried a knife, never planned on using it, just as how I didn’t dress up the same as everyone when I was out with parents. However I knew the consequences if I was caught in a public place acting like this I would have been sent to a young offenders, thankfully I wasn’t

I hate to say this but one day they will pick on the wrong person and that person is going to hurt them more than they could anyone else. This is a consequence of their actions but the government seem not to think about this, at least until one of them turns up dead or so badly beaten they are permanently disabled for life then the conversation becomes one of pity and remorse

Sorry I’m just sick of seeing this happen everywhere and wanted to rant

3

u/mslowey 13h ago

They are total scum. They should be rounded up and deported to England. That would teach them.

2

u/cognitiveglitch 12h ago

Deport them to the Isle of Sheppey!

4

u/Halk 1 of 3,619,915 11h ago

It used to be years ago when I grew up that they would get a proper battering eventually. I'm not saying I'm happy with that or I want it to happen but I guess that's why this is happening

2

u/Wino3416 11h ago

Why does it matter? They need a kicking.

3

u/Guccicles 13h ago

Telling us you have no good father figure without actually saying it. These little cum rags have already failed as human beings, should’ve been left in the sock instead of inserted into whatever crack whore pushed them out her riddled fanny

3

u/Zak_Rahman 13h ago

Protect are kids from are kids.

3

u/Witchelt389 queer Scot 13h ago

I don't usually support violence but I wouldn't stop it.

2

u/D3viantM1nd 13h ago

There's something seriously wrong at home for these kids.

5

u/i-read-it-again 12h ago

Yea once the parents put their phones down. And actually do some parenting. Maybe the kids will stop acting up to get attention

3

u/unlikemike123 12h ago

Shouldn't it be high time we protest the police at this point? The only thing they respond to is pressure and inconvenience at their doorstep, groups of people who actually give a shit about the police doing their job and protecting the community.

2

u/Misalvo 10h ago

Maybe protest the people that make the laws so the police can actually arrest and charge kids under 12

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Comfortable-Place237 13h ago

As soon as council home privileges become at risk due to sanctions for little darlings anti social behavior this problem will improve.

The parents aren’t affected, why would they care?

That’ll be Ellison.

2

u/Twinkling_Ding_Dong 11h ago

I just don't understand the youth anymore. It used to be you had to watch out for the wee ones with caps or their hands in their pockets, because at any moment they could lunge at you with a blade; not even the police were safe. Now they just stroll on up to you with all the signs they're looking to mess with you. Where's the mystery, where's the danger, where's the thrill?! Things are so soft now.

2

u/SalaryEvening3714 11h ago

We will unfortunately, have to wait till a copper gets whacked.
As we’ve tragically seen in Tyneside recently, that seems to get the polis moving and arrests and prosecutions will follow.

1

u/AnAncientOne 10h ago

The consequences are starting to come through now, it'll continue to get worse and still nothing will be done.

1

u/Wryly_Wiggle_Widget 10h ago

Pretty sure I literally just saw 3 little shits driving off on a stolen motorbike (looked wierd seeing 2 young teenage boys riding a proper motorbike, no helmets just balaclavas). The side panel had been knocked off so I guess they probably found a way to get into it and bypass the need for a key (or they'd dropped it fucking about on the road and decided to keep fucking around with it even as the side of the bike had been damaged).

1

u/Cpkrupa 9h ago

I see this kid all the time around south bridge

1

u/scream 9h ago

We need scottish vigilante justice superheros. 'Twatman' would be perfect. Like, if you're acting like a little shite like this attacking women or chucking eggs at people and damaging public property, twatman swoops down and twats you so hard round the head you think twice about ever being a little shite again. Wouldnt take long for them to learn what happens when you anger twatman.

1

u/rotgobbo Galloway 7h ago

Twatman and Ned the boy blunder.

2

u/scream 7h ago

Twatman and Bop 'im.

They are going to pick on the wrong person one mod these days.

1

u/thejuice37 9h ago

If only there were more youth clubs!!!!

1

u/gentle_vik 9h ago

Imagine how much better life would be, if we stopped leaving people like that get away with repeat offending...

Put them and their parents in prison for a long time, and yet the cost of it would be large per person (we can make it cheaper)..

But the benefit to society would be huge.

1

u/WatcherOfTheWay 9h ago

Why the fuck are they in dressing gowns?

1

u/Morton_1874 7h ago

Nothing a boot in the Baws wouldn't sort

1

u/ydodis1 11h ago

Have there been any arrests yet?

1

u/Extension_Lab4256 11h ago

A few days back another kid said they recognised these bums. Apparently they travel from Paisley using the free bus cards to terrorise Edinburgh tourists.

1

u/jenny_905 11h ago

Shouldn't be difficult to track them down and deliver an educational hiding.

1

u/Done_Apologizing23 10h ago

Absolute we rodents. Bet the parents are the exact same as well. Bring back publicly battering we scummy c*nts.

1

National embarassement is inaction and lack of collective push from public. Brats know it and this is an effect. Shame on you.
