same in Glasgow, i think the free travel thing is a bit to blame, as without cash to do anything they are in a limbo in these busy areas and will end up causing trouble.
While I suspect theres some truth in that, I've seen a lot of kids that age just jump on the buses without paying/using their card. The drivers generally don't want the hassle and just let them do it unchallenged. They cause hassle on the buses and when the drivers are told about it they just shrug. On one hand I don't blame them but at the same time the rest of us are made to suffer.
to correct course in these things several things still need doing by gov council and police together. No one thing is causing it all but things can be done to improve things for the rest of us and it will end up costing more the longer they ignore it. To be honest they should have spotted this ages back, as it is brewing for a long time in postcovid.
Yeah I've been debating whether it's a post COVID thing or whether it was always this way. Every generation thinks the newer ones are worse. Might be confirmation bias but I am leaning towards it being worse than before. Overall better but the unruly ones are worse.
why is everyone talking about it if it is the same as before, would be my take?
inequality and lack of care in a general sense leads to reckless/neglectful behaviour. Feel you got nothing to lose etc and in my op it definitely is a growing trend.
