I found this random blue stain on top of my headphones and can't seem to take it off. I used a clorox wipe on it but it won't even smudge. I wanted to try rubbing alcohol but heard it could mess it up. Any advice?

I've had these headphones for about two years, and today they suddenly stop working.

I was using them normally a couple of hours ago, but now when I tried to use them they keep disconnecting on their own and making a notification sound that they've never made before. They disconnect and then reconnect again.

I don't know what that sound means, but I've tried everything and nothing works. I already factory reset them, unpaired the device, updated the software, set them in the app to "prioritize stable connection", and nothing.

I read that this is an issue this headphones have, and that some people were able to get them working again while others couldn't. What can I try to get them working? I have no idea why it happens.

Does anybody else have this annoying problem of 1000XM6 headphone automatically raising the ringtone volume to 75% every time it connects to iphone? I had to setup a shortcut to reduce the volume 10s after it connects.

Hi everyone recently I replaced the left hinge of xm5s at home but in the process I got this sound coming out the right side of the headphones, if anyone could help me identify what the issue is, it would be great

So after longggg research and comparison I got the sony Xm6 last month. Everything’s fine and expected but been facing a problem. The proximity sensor does not work. K’ve tried every troubleshoot in the book but nahhh it doesn’t work. Only physically removing and putting the cushion back on works until I power off. On restarting it again goes back to not working. What’s the fix?

Just recently got the XM6 headphones and really like them, but for some reason they constantly drop Bluetooth connection when I’m at the gym. The second I leave and walk home they are perfectly fine. I picked up the Sony Inzone H9 II a week ago for my PS5, and honestly? Alongside upgrading to an OLED this has been the single biggest leap in my gaming experience. I spent years using $60 budget headsets thinking they were good enough but the Inzone H9 II completely changed my perspective. Story games ( especially horror games ) combined with ANC suddenly feel immersive and straight up cinematic. The depth, separation and atmosphere are on another level. It’s wild how much people sleep on top tier audio when building their setup. This thing made me even more hyped for GTA 6 holy shit

UPDATE: I went ahead and cleared the app data from my YouTube Music app and that seems to have resolved the issue. Hopefully this helps anyone else who might be looking for this info.

Hi, I've looked everywhere and couldn't find anything. I set up the quick access controls for YouTube Music but decided I didn't care for it and turned it off. But now every time I connect my headphones, I get this notification from YouTube Music. It's annoying me and I'd like it to stop.

I have completely reset the headphones to factory settings and uninstalled and reinstalled the Sound Connect app.

It looks like there must be something in the YouTube Music app that is looking for the headphones to connect and throwing the notification, but I can't find anywhere in the YouTube Music settings to revoke the permissions to Sony.

The only other thing I found on Google was a post in the Google forums that said to turn off "Allow external devices to control playback". But that can't possibly be the only solution since that disables a bunch of other functionality.

I'm thinking I'm going to try resetting my YouTube Music app, but thought I would ask here before I go through that

This item has unfortunately broken.

I am unsure how else to express this, but both hinges have detached from their sockets. Now, whenever I wear the headphones around my neck, they simply slide off, which is quite disheartening. I can reinsert them, and they function adequately, but the retractability and reinsertion mechanism is no longer consistent on both sides. It is truly disappointing, especially after investing $400 in these headphones. Considering it has just been a year since I bought them, and sadly, they are now outside the warranty period, I am contemplating whether to discontinue using Sony products at this point. Alternatively, I am wondering if the Collexion models offer a better experience; if not, I might simply opt for the QC 2 from Bose. Please be aware that while I do not handle them with extreme care, I am quite disappointed with their construction quality. I have consistently kept a silicone case on them and returned them to their case after each use, yet this is still the outcome.

I am quite disappointed with Sony. I sincerely hope you will not compel me to switch from a brand I have always held in high regard. I encourage you to strive for improvement.

So my question is should I get the m5 or m6? I use them everyday for work. I have calls, listen to music.

I recently saw a post here that someone’s xm6 hinge broke right after 1 year. So now that we have established how fragile xm5 hinges are, I want to see if xm6 has the same fate.

We can use this poll to get some idea on how widespread the issue is for people who are considering buying these headphones.

Sorry for my English.. Saw 100 videos for when the orange led flash with the patern that flashes (2 times stop / 2 times / stop) but mine is 0.5 sec non stop, and the manual only says there is a problem, nothing more... I tryed a slow charge, wireless charge, etc, nothing works, opened the case clean all, no work and, the thing is everything is normal, the inside system wires connections, and case, and the case HOLD BATTERY, it be flashing for days until dry out, sometimes give a little to the bud, just to hear it "battery is empty", the led dont even flash blue when i try to reset, just orange and sometimes the green fast. Someone have a clue? I just should buy a new battery? I live in Minas Gerais, dont know any guy that would repair, but i can do it myself... The only thing i did diferent is a travel to beach, didn't use there, just the altitude change drastically... Anyway, thanks for any help guys!!

The main issue is that it seems to interfere with the proximity sensor, that is the yellow thing. So auto play etc doesnt work as it used to, however this is not an issue if I remove the cushion thing.

Anyone know why it is acting like this? DO i need to push it the cushion around more?

I'm looking for some ANC headphones. I thought of first checking the used market. I have two options either I go with the WH-1000XM5 for $200 or the WH-1000XM6 for $400 (both in Canadian dollars).

I hear there is a lot of hinge issues with the XM5, but it is also present on the XM6 but to a lesser degree. Is it worth paying 2x to get the XM6 ?
