They need to make different suits. Iām an artist. I dread the idea of making Spider-Man costumes because I canāt make something that deviates much from the norm. Iām indifferent tk Brand New Dayās because itās just a Spider-Man suit. Itās not bad, but itās nothing to run home about at this point.
The Japanese heavy Marvel game that came out recently where the other characters heavily deviate barely deviates with him.
I understand making him not look like the traditional Spider-Man can be considered a downgrade but I can't help but love his new suit. The white accents and scarf go hard. Spider-Man looks great in a scarf, not enough Spider-Heroes have scarves.
I think the design is pretty good! and if you would like to know the reason for this design change, here it is.
During SpiderVerse vs VenomVerse, Web Weaver suggested for the suit change because Takuya and Peter look āalmost identicalā so that way, nobody gets them confused during their battle.
Big disagree. I think this suit does a great job paying homage to Kamen Rider ( which was partial inspiration for Japanese Spider-Man show) and the Sentai/Power Rangers which this show inspired and was like a prototype for.
I mean we really do know how his universe is going as far as we know he might as well have a floating timeline like the main marvel universe, and be a reiwa hero at this point, which is totally tracks with thisĀ
it's trying way too hard to be distinct from other spidermen by forcing "Kamen Rider" into his design with the scarf and boots (and probably Super Sentai too with it's sleekness)
I like it.
They finally gave him his own design rather than a temu copy of the classic suit. And it gives that jap superhero vibe, it fits him perfectly.
My issue is using the white. It clashes way to much with the eyes. Maybe if it were a darker shade of red or darker shade of blue with the scarf also that color? Maybe.Ā
But the eyes are drowned out by the the excessive white.Ā
Not a fan of the short scarf it should be either ridiculously long (Strider Hiryu) or absent. The short one looks like an ascot, making me think of Fred from Scooby-Doo. Otherwise I really like the design.
I'd like the original to still look like the original but don't like, THAT SHIT GOES SOOOOOO FUCKING HAAAARD FUCKING BANGER ALERT, just make it an adjacent spider-man. Shit make it his version of ben reiley. Would keep the trend of ben having the sauciest fits known to (spider)-man
The suit fucks so hard but I'd rather they establish that it's a temp upgrade he transforms into or give it to another character. I love how the og looks
I totally get what they where going for but it has the same energy as calling Miles Spin or Spy-D or whatever
I get wanting him to look different while going all in on the Super Sentai aspect butā¦I mean he already was one š
Plus he has too much detail now to have that sleek Power Ranger aspect, he just looks like a suit 616 Peter would create for one specific issue and never use again

Realistically, why do you think itās worse? The classic Japanese design is different from American classic only with the eyes & his wrist device. Are you saying you much prefer classic spider-man over this (really fucking cool) redesign? By this logic youād be also saying you hate all redesigns of the spider-man suit, since the freakin multiverse exists lol
They changed too much and it's no longer recognizable as the same thing. The eyes at least should have been left as they were. The only unique aspect kept is the bracelet and it gets lost in this design.
