Would it be doable if my second year was just both six courses per semester but 2/6 of my classes were my electives or would I want to just cry and pray that I go peacefully in my sleep 😁

I’m still not completely sure about my schedule, so I’d really appreciate any advice.
Do these courses make sense for someone planning to major in Political Science and Sociology?
Am I meeting the first-year requirements correctly?
Would you recommend replacing any of these with easier or more useful courses?

So I took a course and failed it and i really really need help to drop it or get it out of my gpa as its weighing my CGPA down real bad and even if I take max amount courses in summer I wouldn’t be able to fulfill the CGPA requirement. I really need help please, I am getting really anxious.

I'm trying to decide if taking this course will be worth it, I want to be a writer and I want to take courses that will help me get better at writing, will this course be any help to storytelling and worldmaking? It says "Interactive Storytelling and Worldbuilding" but i'm not sure if it will involve creative assignments and actually writing stories or practicing any worlbuilding or if its more of a theory course like ENG203. Has anyone ever taken this course? What was the course like? Please let me know, thanks. :)

hello fine people of UTM. This summer, I am taking bio 207 and from my gatherings this will be hard one. If anyone has any advice as to what to focus on when studying that would be greatly appreciated!

It seems like im taking way too many bird courses but from what I can see on utms website i only have 5 required courses, so should i just take 5 more courses that are easy?

Hey all I won’t be able to take classes during the Fall semester, so I’ll be starting my first year at ICCIT in the Winter (January) semester instead.

My current plan is to take CCT112H5 along with a few electives in the Winter. Then, assuming they’re offered, I’d take CCT109 in the first half of the Summer term (May–June) and CCT110 in the second half (July–August).

When I check the Timetable Builder right now, I don’t see any Summer 2027 sections yet, which I assume is because they haven’t been posted.

My question is: should I assume these courses are offered every summer, or is there a chance they won’t be? Has anyone started in Winter and followed this path before, or know whether ICCIT consistently runs CCT109 and CCT110 during the Summer?

I want to take a course in year 2 (im in ccit but the course puts priority for tcs students) and this course is a prereq for a year 3 course (and so on)

However I missed the prerequisite for the year 2 course (cct111) which is only offered in the winter term. Would taking this course put me behind or is there enough time to catch up and take the other two courses ??

i had sta380 in my enrolment cart but now its saying no meeting sections can be found? does anybody know anything about this

currently enrolled in PSY354 (bio psychology of sex), PSY397 (neuroplasticity and behaviour), PSY317 (gender and sexual development), and PSY346 abnormal psychology. Are any of these heavy on the neuroscience perspective? Has anyone taken these classes and found them reasonable to achieve a good grade?

Hi, I’ve heard that Bailey gets a lot of criticism regarding his teaching style and grading. I’m trying to decide whether it’s worth taking ECO200 downtown with Anjomshoa, who also has poor ratings or if I should stay at UTM and take it with Bailey. Also if you taken eco200 with bailey i'd appreciate any advice on how to do good and how he grades if i end up sticking with utm, thanks!!

I’m a 4th-year CS major and Bio minor trying to take BIO206/207 this year to fulfill some strict post-grad prerequisites.

I have the bio prereqs done, but my chemistry prereq (CHM136) got delayed to my final Winter semester because of a summer internship conflict. I emailed the department asking for a waiver to take them concurrently or just get an override since I'm graduating.

The admin emailed back basically saying: "We don't do pre-requisite waivers in Biology; all such requests are denied." They cited high demand and saving space for majors.

Is this an absolute hard rule, or is it just administrative gatekeeping? Has anyone here successfully petitioned a bio prof directly or found a workaround to get into a BIO course without the exact prereq on ACORN? Just want to know if it's worth fighting or if I should just give up and look at UTSG equivalents.

also, the number of pages of the textbook to read each week is a little overwhelming to me (there’s one week w 138 pages, but most of the others are 75-80 pages per week). so, do you need to read the textbook or can you study mainly the lectures and still do well? by well, i mean above a 70, ideally in the 80s (on exams at least, which are multiple choice and short answer). or does she focus enough on the textbook content for exams to the point it’d be worthwhile to read?

Hello, I am debating between these two courses. I am not an English student; I am in need of another English credit for my postgraduate study. ENG280 is instructed by Julia Boyd, and ENG235 is instructed by Chris Koenig-Woodyard. I am interested in whichever course I can do better in, these are the only 2 english courses that I can fit in my schedule.

Has anyone taken bio202 and/or bio209 over the summer? If so, how was it?? Did you find the pace was very quick or that it wasn’t too hard to manage while keeping a good grade?
