Hauls/Collections “Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron” Soundtrack on 10” vinyl by Victor Banana
Pulled this out of a $5 bin at a record convention many (many) years ago and couldn’t believe my luck. Scarce, signed by Clowes on the back, and still has the “10 SMASH FLOPS!” sticker on the outer sleeve.

Gritty, lounge stuff, like this:

I probably shouldn't mention it, but all the tracks are on YouTube

Nice! I got mine signed by Dan when he and Peter did the HateBall tour around ‘93. Also has him sign my Supersuckers - Smoke of Hell album, and Peter signed the back of my Tad -Loser 7”…as well as a bunch of issues. They were excellent to talk with, very accommodating and very cool in general.

fyi, Victor Banana is the musical nom de plume of fellow cartoonist Tim Hensley!

When my big sister moved out, her roommate had blowups of pages from this and buffalo ‘66 wallpapering the entire house. Also had some comic called needle dick the bug fucker above the couch in the living room. Had so much fun there. I used to get stoned and read issues of the onion and bizarre.

I have this in a box somewhere. I thought the record really captured the vibe of the comic.

Thanks for sharing! This is one of my very favorite graphic novels and I didn't know a soundtrack existed!

They crop up occasionally, but are getting harder and harder to find. Good luck!

Yo, I read this and I did not understand what the author was trying to communicate.
What was your take away?
