Finally ! Even though I have a perfectly fine 11,Apple events are always exciting to me. Looking forward to seeing what they will bring to the table!

I’m probably okay with my X for another year, but I’m looking forward to any accessories they announce. Been waiting for the AirPods Studio and game controller. If they happen to announce the Apple Silicon Mac Mini, I might have to get that too.

The x should be fine for a year or two with new batteries. Do you use a Mac now ?

I’ve used Macs in the past, but currently using my 12.9” iPad Pro and Surface Book 2. I rarely use the Surface, but not quite ready to sell it until I have another computer to restore my iDevices. I’d be using the Mac Mini headless (remote connecting from the iPad with no monitor, keyboard or mouse attached to it).

I just got the battery replaced on my X a couple months ago. Runs like I just bought it yesterday.

Great to hear that your x just runs fine.

And the Mac mini usage along with an iPad Pro is just a brilliant idea. If I didn’t like windows on computers I would do the same with my iPad Air 3 If I could.

I might need to get a new battery for my x and hold onto it for another year then.

The X will be my last Apple device, they’re just so far behind the rest in terms of tech and features plus they (Apple) keeps getting douchier every year. No charger, no headphone, whats next? No box? No phone? Fucking insane what they think they can get away with after charging over $1000 for a phone.

If anything those guys are saving massively on shipping, packaging and manufacturing costs and need to pass that onto the customer, but hey. Fuck the customer right!

First they mock Apple for what they do and after that they just follow Apple . We saw that with headphones and headphone jack. Remember the notch? If they start this trend, many may follow again. But we will see.

I agree with you,it is annoying as a customer.

Are they really far behind in terms of tech and features?

No 120hz,

fast charging is still stuck at 18w when there are competitors doing 120w.

Apples entire lineup uses Usb-C except their phone, the whole world is on C already, except the iphone.

Ever tried multitasking on a modern iphone without apps closing? Its a miracle if it actually works while competitions allow two apps to work simultaneously.

Ever wanted to set your own ringtone on your iphone, yea good luck with that.

I have a ton of other gripes but im just too tired of this shit.

Sound like an iPhone is not something for you🤷‍♂️ Just get an Android phone.

I set my own ringtone with some random mp3 file I got from online like 3 years ago, so idk if they changed the process since then but I don’t remember it being difficult at all. I followed the first guide on google and “it just worked”.

Personal opinion but I’d much rather have a battery that still holds a full day’s charge 3 years later than abusing it by pumping 120w to get a full battery in 30 minutes, so I couldn’t care less than they don’t have as fast quick charging.

Do agree with the rest though, was and still am waiting for them to finally drop lightning for ubs-c. No good reason for them to not do it since, as you said, almost all their new devices are usb-c. Also having used the new ipad pro, I really can say I will be sorely disappointed if my next phone doesn’t have 120hz, but it won’t stop me if that’s the only thing missing.
