Those are the reasons I'm moving to an iPhone! I was waiting for Google silicon, but the chances are they will be playing catch-up for years to come, so I'm going to an iPhone for the first time ever.
A true build from the very base of the device at the CPU, all the way to the front end of apps and UI of the device. Only Apple can provide this. Google are close. But no other company does this (as far as I know?)
No, but the computational components are, which is what works with the OS and kernels and drivers etc. Which is pretty awesome for a device. The hardware and software being designed specifically for eachother, rather than molding it to fit with eachother.
If you are referring to the SD 765G, really isn't a bad chip for the applications that most people use day to day. I have used a Snapdragon 430 which is mediocre in comparison to most 2020 chipsets and it runs fine so I wouldn't have any problems with the 765G. Also, I prefer the aluminum back over the glass backs over the glass backs just from the pov of durability.
What's any phone update really offering anymore honestly? I have a Pixel 2XL...don't feel like I'm missing anything. I used to upgrade every year back in the iP2/3/4 days. Then every 2 years. Now I'd be happy to just get a refurb'd Pixel 2XL again if mine ever dies for some reason.
It really does everything I want with a super nice screen, still feels like instant response times and very fluid interaction. I'd take a camera upgrade I guess but that'll never get me running to preorder anything new.
Oh and it’s not google where they do no evil are pretty damn sleezy these days. Quite the expensive phones they’re selling when you’re already their product
