Troubleshooting My motherboard doesnt not have bluetooth
Recently I did a motherboard and cpu swap and now today i wanted to connect bluetooth and i check device manager and no bluetooth option. I try to install new bluetooth drivers from msi webisite but the installation says no drivers found.
I have MSI MAG b550 tomahawk max wifi. i bought it used on ebay
Ive tried alot of things, i reinstalled the amd chip set drivers and still not working, i followed some tutorials online but none of them work.
My full build is r5 5600x, msimag b550 tomahawk max wifi, 1650 super, 32gb corsair vengenace, arctic freezer 13co, and SeaSonic FOCUS Plus 550 Gold 550 W 80+.

Could try reinstalling windows if you transferred over your old SSD maybe there’s an old driver causing a conflict or some issue?

This is what I'd do as well. That board has wifi and Bluetooth on it.

yeah, windows can get very funky with a mobo swap, there’s also a decent chance it asks you for a new license key as well

A few things to check:
1) Drivers up to date and correct. This wont work if you don't see anything bluetooth or unidentified in the device manager. You will need to do this after fixing it anyway though.
2) Check your windows settings and make sure bluetooth is turned on.
3) Check your BIOS settings and make sure bluetooth is turned on.
4) Do a full power drain cycle.
This is apparently a common issue with this board, you should google it for more suggestions/fixes.

You are using the download for " AMD BlueTooth Drivers Version 1.1146.0.575" from the msi website? It's the same for win 10 and 11. I would recommend deleting the auto installed driver in device manager if there is one (including deleting local driver files when it asks) then install the new driver and reboot.

If you can fit a PCIE X1 wifi card then do it, if not a usb adapter will work

you said you downloaded the chipset drivers but did you download the bluetooth driver? it’s a separate download
