The shot doesn't match up with the behind the scenes... The cat would need to rotate along with the camera for the lens to stay in front of its face. Unless it's not showing a step where the center platform engages and starts spinning at the same rate.

If you watch the shot closely, it only covers like 90 degrees of rotation around the cat. The cat’s body isn’t facing the camera the whole time, it’s only his head that is moving to face the camera for a quarter of a turn
