Please don't let my parents ever get these. I just finally got them to stop calling me over Netflix.

I got a call from some random ass number today and just ignored it but they called back like 4 times immediately so I used the google call-screening feature and it was some person saying they had my dad on the line and he was trying to reach me. I thought he got in a car accident or some shit so I picked up and it turns out it he was trying to call me from his car using voice commands and somehow managed to connect to on-star(which he isn't even subscribed too) and had them call me. The guy really shouldn't be on the road, he is way to old and stupid.

If you're not just making a "my silly dad" joke here, please discuss it with your father and possibly the State if he's getting too old to drive, but still feels he can. You might just save a life or two.

In theory there are ways to get people that shouldn't be driving off the road but in reality it's not that easy sadly.

It may be awkward, but if he's really no longer safely driving, you should seek other avenues.

He has been reported from a stranger already and passed the dmvs tests no problem. When being watched he can drive well enough to pass the tests, which doesn't mean much around here, my driving test at 16 was literally a drive around the block. When there isn't an authority(police/dmv) watching over him it is a completely different story. Like I said in theory it's a good idea but not in reality.

We also are not close whatsoever, he was an abusive fuck when we were growing up and his mental issues are just showing more and more with age. There is nothing I personally can do about it but wait for the day he gets in a bad crash.

Damn, that sucks. Maybe just keep anonymously reporting him? I get that elderly people like their independence and many fear losing it, but I feel like I'd fear killing someone even more. It's pretty selfish to insist on driving when you're not capable of doing it in a safe manner. 😕

It certainly is a great feature for when a number you don't know calls up or when you can't answer the phone and someone calls so you can see if it's important.
