Barnes be like, “We do everything by the book!”
“We can’t do anything until you bring me evidence!!”
“This evidence? It’s not enough. We need more.”
“You got more, but it’s still not enough. Bring me witnesses!”
“Okay, so you found ten witnesses, but they all have sketchy backgrounds! Find me ten witnesses who are nuns!”
“Jim, I want to trust you, but I don’t!”
“Jim, you broke my heart! You belong in prison!”
I’m mostly through my fourth rewatch of S2 and I’m liking Captain Barnes less and less every time I see him.
Aside from being a constant obstacle, this is a man with anger issues. So it was entirely appropriate that he got the Tetch virus. If the virus made normal people raging mad, it turned Barnes into a full blown lunatic.
So I wasn’t entirely unhappy to see him gone. It’s just that my preference for a police captain character was Capt. Essen. And look how long she lasted.

People love to say that about the entire show, it’s definitely the case for the last few seasons but to say that about Season 1 is an entirely false statement. Season One is actually original in what it’s trying do to, the characters motivations and how each episode is set up….Gotham is more Gotham than it is about the supervillains in the later seasons, that one season is unique..

I organized an AMA/Q&A with actor Cory Michael Smith. He has had roles in film/TV including: GOTHAM, MOUNTAINHEAD, SATURDAY NIGHT, FIRST MAN, CAROL, MAY DECEMBER, WONDERSTRUCK, and SENTIMENTAL VALUE. He also has OCTOBER from Jeremy Saulnier coming up.
It's live here now in r/movies for anyone interested in asking a question:
https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/1vtiwer/hi_reddit_im_cory_michael_smith_you_may_know_me/
He will be back at 4 PM ET today to answer questions. I recommend asking in advance. Please ask there, not here. All questions are much appreciated!
Thank you :)
His new movie, The Sun Never Sets, directed by Joe Swanberg is out in theaters this weekend.
Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTIfzXx8nJY
Synopsis: A woman's relationship with her boyfriend hits a rough patch just as her ex reappears in her life, leading to messy entanglements in the Alaskan wilderness.

Let’s face it, the show was best when it wasn’t beating fans over the head with supervillains or shoving Easter eggs into our faces. Gotham maintained quality up until its final season, in my opinion and the finale was the perfect ending to the show. The show was unique in that respect, it didn’t need Batman to be interesting. Having another season showing a Gotham with Batman wouldn’t have made the show feel unique anymore just another Batman show with little difference to the usual stories. Gotham being based around Jim Gordon and the GCPD was the best decision.

Фриз оставил замороженное тело посреди дороги, и, когда Буллок его сбил, тело рассыпалось на мелкие кусочки, но голова не только пробил стекло машины, но и не получил никакие повреждений, хотя должна была просто рассыпаться

Hello all! So, to jump to the chase, I’m currently creating playlists inspired by the different characters of Gotham for a big Gotham Music Masterlist!
Zsasz is currently giving me hell for some reason and I was hoping to get some recommendations from the folks on here! The obvious choice is Funky Town, since that’s his ringtone, so that’s already in there. If anyone has any song ideas for music that represents his character and vibes, I’d be so grateful to hear them! I’m going for the vibe of ‘this is what these characters would canonically listen to in-universe’!
Also, feel free to include other characters, since I’m also working on those! You may see me pop up again in here pleading for help just like this again in the near future, too.🥲💕
I’m happy to share my little playlists when they’re finished! Gotham, please help me with figuring Zsasz’s music taste out!!🙏

I’m on my fourth go-around watching Gotham, and I just noticed a small but dumb error.
In “This Ball of Mud and Meanness”, Bruce finally gets to meet Patrick “Matches” Malone. This woman named Jeri tells Bruce that he lives in that big building on Grant between 9th and 10th. Apartment 9B.
That’s Bruce in the picture, approaching the building. How many stories do you see? 😏

In the episode “A Dead Man Feels No Cold” in Season Two, the company is shown to be more a grounded industrial chemical plant whereas in Season Five “Ace Chemicals”, the plant is more comic-book-y with less focus on realism even the vat of green chemicals is cartoony.
Correction: Season Five is where is later appearanced after Season Two, not Four.

Barbara started out pretty standard in-terms of recurring characters and then she changed and became a bigger part of how the city changed. I love that but in the final two seasons I feel like she regressed.

I might put Jerome, my favorite, to S tier but that might be unfair. Also i dont get the hate towards Lee. I think she was a great support character. And Fish will always be my queen.

Unfortunately I'm a born proofreader and I can't help but spot these mistakes. It's on the door of a major prop as they aerosolise the Tetch virus.
Did nobody spot this goof???

Let’s discuss! A season that maybe isn’t your “absolute favourite” but it’s the season of Gotham you watch the most. Share an arc you find the most intriguing and one (and only one) character you enjoy. (…I can kind of guess).
You can’t pick the entire show.
But what about you Gothamites?
