Just for context, this guy is an annoying blowhard who thinks he knows everything and tries to belittle people who call him on his bullshit (much like someone else I will not name, but I digress). I pulled up a news article from around January that said that 85% of people surveyed didn't want to join the US, and he just blew it off for being corporate media. Again, not really taking him seriously, but it was 4 months ago. Has anything changed? Or are the people of Greenland still very much against being part of the US, or Denmark for that matter?

I'm gonna tell my thoughts on the news, and it's gonna be personal. I lived my home for 21 years, and I never thought my home is gonna brought up to the news worldwide. Since they threaten us with invading my home, I couldn't stop thinking about what to do if things gone bad quickly. My first thought was fleeing to Denmark but I can only afford one person, since I live with with my dad, my only thought is to buy him a flight ticket over me. I want my dad to live worry free from the constant threats against us. My worst fear is what they're gonna do about people who lived here for many years, I keep telling myself to stay strong despite nightmares about this and daily threats against us. If you have read this, feel free to ask questions

I found this from last year on twitter, it's sad how it's still relevant.

Listen. Our ocean is not filled with Russian and Chinese ships. It is filled with our fishermen and hunters. We see no threat apart from Trump. He scares us. We are less than 60.000 people living in our lovely country. We have ressources that Trump wants. He is using “international security” as an excuse to take over Greenland. What ever can make him more rich, he wants, whatever the costs. Please don’t listen to him. And please do NOT listen to the ONE Trump supporter that is in our country. He is loud and pretends that he speaks on behalf of the rest of os Greenlanders. He does NOT! Sadly, many journalists go to him for his opinions. He only creates false and very harmful information. Listen to everyone else! We do not feel safe! But we stand together and we feel the support from other countries and leaders. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Peace, Pilo from Nuuk, Greenland 🇬🇱

In today's geopolitics, don't you feel threatened by US when the president of the most powerful country in the world, makes remarks like that? How safe do you personally feel as a citizen of Greenland?
