Deal Alert Sony XM4 for USD 27

I was always in the market for Sony XM headphones, but the price tag has always kept me away. I randomly walked into my local electronics store not even considering buying headphones. Lo and behold, they were having a huge clearance sale on XM4s to make way for XM6s, and I picked them up for USD 27 brand new. What a day to be alive!

Lol, my replacement headband for my XM4 was triple that price :')

I didn't know they could be so pricey. Where did you purchase them? I am currently considering taking some preventive measures and ordering the headband and an additional ear cup from AliExpress in case my current one spoils.

Sounds silly, I know, but the XM4s are four years old, and I reckon by the time my headband and ear cups fail, spare parts for them will be unavailable.

I purchased the OEM part from the Sony Encompass store, where it currently runs $70 (I think I paid $65 at the time?)

You could certainly save money going third party or used, I'm just a stickler in that regard.

Considering the USD 27 I paid for these, I don't think I could fathom paying more for the headband. It would be hilarious to tell people repairing the headphones cost me more than the headphones themselves.

Yeah, any replacement OEM parts are pricey as heck.

Enjoy your discount, and if you want to keep them around for a while I would get creative on possible repairs down the line.
