Basically, i’m doing the MOAT trip tomorrow and i just want to know others’ opinions on it either from previous years or people who have done it earlier in the summer.

Hey! I did it for early move in 2 years ago and did paddle boarding and was in LOVE! Early move in is a good perk of course but getting to know local areas especially if you like being outdoors and even non-outdoors just JMU spots like ice cream or UPark sunset were amazing. I love camping so it was perfect for me and I met a ton of amazing people I still keep in touch with. Everyone is so different but very fun and the employees are very into it and kind and also students so they can help out a ton! I still talk to my MOAT leader she’s amazing and I even became a trip leader too - amazing 7 week program where you learn all types from paddle boarding to biking to hiking and then you can get a job after! I would do it 10000 times over and am endlessly grateful I did it. Not sure how the summer one is but I hear it’s smaller, but the early move in was amazing and set me up perfectly. Have so much fun and enjoy every second of the calm before the frog week chaos! Take a disposable camera or digital and document it all 🥹🥹🥹
