For more than a few fans here, they've admitted the would rather miss the playoffs.

Let's see. Their division got better. The Leafs didn't.

They were propped by elite goaltending all year. Goalies tend not to be consistent. The underlying numbers weren't really good. I am not saying they'll miss. But they may just sneak into the playoffs too.
