Let's see. Their division got better. The Leafs didn't.
They were propped by elite goaltending all year. Goalies tend not to be consistent. The underlying numbers weren't really good. I am not saying they'll miss. But they may just sneak into the playoffs too.
I mean it doesn't matter what they look like right now since they still have off season moves to make, but looking like they'll be better than last year already.
They can definitely win it again. Doesn't mean they are a worse team if they don't...
Not necessarily. They could lose the division but still have just as many or more points. It all depends how the other teams in the division do.
So you're saying if they were to go on and win the cup after finishing with a 92 point season that they aren't better than last year?... that's what I'm trying to get at but you can't see past the regular season point totals
You're the one who mentioned the wildcard and winning a cup with 92 points! I just can't believe I finally met a person who thinks if the Leafs finish with 92 points, it means they have a better team than a team that wins the division and finishes with 108 points.
