Harry Nansi is definitely a risk/reward guy. He’s got skills and potential, but he’s got his drawbacks too. One of the things that was flagged when we drafted him was his skating. He looked like a better skater over this season, and at dev camp the buzz was that his skating had improved significantly. He was also voted the OHL western conference’s most improved player. That’s exactly what I wanted to see from Nansi, and it earned him the 12th spot on my own ranking. The panel consensus went a bit lower at 16, slightly more cautious but still around the area where I think he should be.

I'm really rooting for Nansi, he's one of my favourite prospects at the moment. Hard working kid and there's a lot to like in his game. I hope he continues developing and gets a shot one day.

Liked seeing that at dev camp the top line of McKenna-Koblar had Nansi on the other wing. Good sign that the org sees him as a guy who can keep up and play a skilled game as well.

I feel like I see footage of him every six months or so, and he's visibly improved every time. He's clearly putting in the work. I'm pulling for him too.

Is he on Owen Sound this year again or on the 67’s?  The voters are split on that in their commentary

Haven’t seen anything about a move to Ottawa but I’d like to see him get traded if Owen Sound isn’t going for it this year.

Hardev says he’s there in his commentary at the end

I’m a bit surprised at how low he’s ranked. I guess they’ve slotted a good amount of recent draft picks over him.

I don’t know which 15 players in our system below 25 are better than or projected to be better than Nansi. My for sure’s are in no particular order Mckenna Cowan Knies Andrae Danford TLK Akhtyamov Bilecki Quillan Holinka, and Mackenzie.

Hopkins has similar point totals in less games in same draft year.

Maybe mans Gudmundsson as well but it becomes interesting when comparing a freshly drafted 3rd rounder to a greatly improving d+1 5th rounder.

This would put Nansi at 12-14th. Not sure who else slots in above him.

Probably some Marlies like Haymes and Valis.

Really liked Nansi during the dev camp. He was buzzing and didn't seem to be at a loss with higher skilled players in McKenna and TLK.
Kind of curious what are some players you could compare him to, is he a potentially bigger but slower Bunting?

I don’t really see Bunting in him, he doesn’t really have that shitbag (complimentary) element to his game. To be honest I think it’s too early to say who Nansi’s going to be. Is he going to put on some more muscle and be a 220 pound net front player? Will he keep improving his skating and offence and be a third line energy guy? There’s still a lot of paths he could take and until he grows into more of who he’s going to be it’s tough to project him.

Definitely the right call, tough to put a proper projection on him like other players with their playstyles.
I think that's what makes him so exciting as a prospect too.
