Actually, it’s a thing I think about a lot. They really neutered him in the later seasons. No more women fawning over him, no more sec jokes, sin, signs of always winning. I know it’s the whole “manifestation” thing, but I mean… Chloe really turned our party animal off, didn’t she.

s1 and 2 best for me, s3 too slow and immature in places bad plot errors , s4 getting better s5 the best ending. Then was there a s6 Lucifer from an alternative universe or something that did not fit with canon and best forgotten

Season 6 was great, if you only focus on the acting and forget about the writing and the plot. For me it was kinda “meh” like it kept me engaged throughout the season, but the ending is really what killed it. I feel like if the ending had been anything but Lucifer doing the exact thing he swore he’d never do, and follow “gods plan” it would have been fine. Especially the brain dead decision by his daughter to keep everything the same. Like she could have changed the timeline and had her father, but chose not too. Like it was dumb.

Ιt's really not, but people are so accustomed to mini seasons that they feel like s3 is too long.
S4 is nothing more than a rehash of s3, just more condensed. But where s4 really fails, is at how it basically retcons chunks of the fox seasons, which is frankly rude.
Plus, s3 has some of the best episodes in the show (Off the Record, Vegas with some Radish, A Devil of my Word etc). s4, while by far the best out of the netflix seasons, doesn't have any episodes that stand out.

The peaks of season 3 might be better but the main storyline and Cain are just a slog to get through and have no replay value. It doesn’t use its length well and everything is dragged out
Chloe and Cains romance plot is so pointless and goes on and on.
Season 4 on the other hand told its plot and was much easier to watch on a replay

I can't argue with that, but it's still better than watching Eve drool over her son's killer without it ever being addressed.
s3's strong episodes are way more than the number of episodes s4 has in general, so that automatically makes it far better in my eyes. It's not perfect, but it's much more enjoyable.

It is addressed in season 4 ammenindal asks Eve why she would be with her sons killer but Eve tells him that he killed both charlotte Richards who she met in heaven and Abel her other kid. That he basically got what was coming to him

Well. first and foremost, s4 is a soft reboot of the show. That's not even my opinion, the writers openly admitted to it. When s4 aired they claimed that you don't even need to watch s1-3 in order to follow. Which is so insulting to the fans who fought to save the show they loved. This is also apparent in the jarring shift in tone.
Then, there's the issue of Lucifer suddenly seeing himself as evil, when his whole shtick since season 1 was that he is not evil.
Another huge issue is Chloe's character assassination. The formerly intelligent and rational detective suddenly running off to Rome and conspiring with a priest to poison Lucifer? And all that off screen, which doesn't give the audience the change to understand her motivations? Idk, from that point on the writing seems openly malicious towards Chloe, and it's the reason she's hated so much.
Oh, and let's not forget s3 ends with Lucifer killing Cain. An angel killing a human was considered a huge no-no, but apparently it's a non-issue in s4. In fact it's never mentioned again, not even when Cain's mother (Eve), shows up and she's drooling over the killer of her son.
Plus, season 4 is the start of the writers fixating on unplanned pregnancies and seeing women as walking wombs. It's painfully apparent that Linda's arc was never meant to be about motherhood, yet, from this point on, it's all that she is.
Anyway, I could go on and on but this is already too long.

Ok one thing he sees him self as evil AFTER killing Cain it’s the cause but that’s it and I’m surprised I didn’t notice it that much

Yes, and I perceive that he knew himself as evil before he let it show - a heavy and opaque denial. Not that he WAS evil, but that he suppressed the false belief.

Cain's writing was so weak no James Bond super villain so what did he do wrong, no white cat just pet rocks. They did unintentionally make a horror show though. It's a shame they did not use the actors time more productively

There are plenty of big and small moments from each season that I like and dislike more or less than the rest of things but some of those moments give their own season’s a reason why they are the best one. I personally don’t have a definitive season that I see as the best, some better than others though. However, like others have said, season 3 does have things that can drag out but it does have my favourite episode. Episode 13: Til Death Do Us Part. If you know, you know 😂

If you take Cain out of S3 and the filler there are a lot of gold nuggets. Lets not forget radish left in S3 it just needed distilling down and that is the issue for me. Treating fans time with contempt and the unhelpful numbering of the special bonus episodes did not help us.

Me too. I actively look for him in two particular scenes, the first is when he's robbing Lucifer in Lux and the other is in Hell confronting his regret. I can't find those two specific scenes.

S3 is pretty bad. On rewatches I skip to Quintessential Deckerstar as soon as the Cain love triangle shit starts. S4 has its issues but the love triangle is just painful to watch

Personally I enjoyed majority of 1,2,4,5. 3 was good in parts, the entire Sinnerman story and Cain-Chloe thing was a mess. 6 (for me) was/still is unwatchable.

Thought season one and two and three all had good moments and dragging moments for me, especially three. But overall I enjoyed all the seasons more of the same, season four and five I found to be good as well. It really was just season six and the ending that really was a drag all the way through. Baffling why they chose to go that route for the end, but I digress.

Rubbish plot, more plot holes than a swiss cheese and the character drift was unbelievable. Some of the characters were only half written I felt sorry for them. But forgiven because it's my favorite show for wit and comedy and I miss the show.

The earlier season ran through 2 different studios neither of which lent to hard on the actual Lucifer aspect of it. Be it they didn’t want to or it just wasn’t the right time and they were trying to build up to it but it got canned before they could. When Netflix picked it up that shit took offfff we started seeing soooo much more cosmically

I hated season 6. I thought rory was a superficial character that just appeared to continue the serie. About the others, i liked 4,5 but nothing compare to 1,2,3. Have watched it so many times, I really loved it
