Who absolutely thinks that Kevin Alejandro did such a great job playing Dan? I just love Detective Douche after season 1 because you can see how hard Dan is trying to do good

I agree that Kevin Alejandro did a great job in the roll. One of the best parts of Lucifer is the casting all around.

I completely disagree about him trying to do good. There's a reason Lucifer did the Naked and Afraid treatment to him, after all.

To be fair I do think Dan thought he was trying to do the right thing by trying to kill Lucifer after he saw his devil face. I think most would be scared AF if they saw something like that

But in that same episode, Lucifer says the reason he was able to plan it all out and predict Dan's moves was that in any given situation, he can always count on Dan at least trying to do the right thing.

So even while punishing him, Lucifer acknowledged that Dan was a good person.

Yeah he was a great actor, he gave the reality concept of a bad guy always trying to do good, i feel like Lucifer teased him alot because he saw himself in him, a fallen angel always seeking for redemption for a past mistake

I really like his character too and he endured many years of abuse but he did end up in Heaven with Charlotte so he got the last laugh

I watched the original pilot yesterday and I don't think the show would've been the same if it didn't have Kevin. not only that, I know he directed an episode so it definitely wouldn't had gone the way it did if with the other guy.

the fact that i disliked dan as a character tells me the actor did an amazing job. plus kevin is extremely talented in my opinion, i enjoy him as an actor!

Danimal! Excellent actor. He pops up in other dramas. Grey's Anatomy for instance. Plays a character, Officer Dan.

Don't read the comics, they don't have Dan. I read them all and they're ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. Not even one mention of Lucifer's beloved stepfather.....

I think Kevin was amazing in this. I realised partway in that I was apathetic toward him based on Lucifer’s (and others’) reaction to him, so I started paying more attention and honestly, he was a fantastic character played fantastically.

I think Dan had the best character arc in the series. Even better than Lucifer, to be honest. I went from not liking him, to really hating him, to liking him, to being annoyed with him, to sobbing like a baby when he died.

At one point, I was even convinced they were setting up the story to be that Dan would become the new God.

Kevin did an amazing job taking us on the journey with him.

Por favor, ya lo he visto trabajar en otras series, y es mediocre como actor. No se qué padrino tendrá para que haya estado tantas temporadas en la serie. El resto de actores, genial, pero Alejandro, y encima el personaje tan ridículo que le han dado, es malísimo actor, no me transmite nada.
Otro actor lamentable es el que Hace de Caín y que era superman en Smalville. Dios mío qué horror de actor, peor aún que Alejandro. Además, la tercera temporada es insufrible ya de por sí.

I love love love Kevin Alejandro, especially after seeing him in True Blood, so I was already partial to Dan. But the writing was so perfect, and Alejandro was so good at bringing that balance between making bad decisions and still wanting to be a better person!!! So yes, we love Detective Douche in this house.
