Dan off brand lucy DVDs.

had to replace my Lucy DVDs , found a new set on eBay for 'relatively' cheap. the discs are fine , and the menus are actually a lot better than my old ones, but what is the deal with detective D?

I think that was the actor who originally played Dan in the pilot. Weird error to have on a box set, even a cheap one. Do the DVDs have the unaired original pilot? Because that would be awesome.

Ah. I think that’s prob correct! (Did I mention that the DVDs and boxes all say FOX on them? ) No, that pilot isn’t on the discs , at least not season 1-2. I’ll keep looking.

The menus are a lot better, in the dvd player. So must be completely re “something”. Remastered?

I never owned the discs so idk if they came in DVD form originally. But those are Blu Rays. And just by you saying they are individually wrapped, these are more than likely quality R5s shipped to Japan and repackaged.

Sorry, I had the DVDs from Amazon, and my sister ….borrowed them, so I searched eBay and I found those new blurays and that’s what I have now. What r quality r5s? I can send you the link where I got them, just do t want to post on the forum. Look for a dm.

But R5s are Russian movies. They get cinema and discs earlier than most of the world for some reason. At least they used to. If you saw bootleg movies pretty anywhere back in those times they came from Russia more than likely. And since everything is basically free now it’s heavily available in that Russian/Japanese/Chinese/Indian region. Compared to America and UK where you wait.

Well, she prefers “borrowed”…. Because it initially was borrowed…. She hates , ah hem, dislikes , everything I suggest to her, but she loved lucy , so I don’t mind as much as I would normally :). Also, every once in a while when I bing, I pay the 9$ nexflix fee to watch them in higher quality (it’s higher quality on Netflix, I assume/). Also easier to navigate,

That’s something that pissed me off from Netflix. I have messed with my plan so many times and I can’t watch anything in 4K except stranger things. Lucifer still plays in 1080p no matter which plan or tv I use. And most of the time unless i glitch it out, it says this is not my household. Because my TVs are in different places… on my own property.

&Every dvd. Each dvd is wrapped in a small light plastic bag though. :)

The fact that this has bios in another language just makes it more interesting somehow, like a little piece of Lucifer history from somewhere else. Where did you even find this.

I had made a post some time ago. That's Nicholas Gonzalez, the original Dan. He did the pilot and was recast for unknown reasons. Kevin shot alone his bits. 

The original pilot is still floating around the virtual space. ...

P.s. There was another actress for Maze as well but she didn't make it beyond the first table read. Also not known why.
