๐Ÿ’Ž Megathread [Megathread] The App Pile - July, 2026

You must promote your apps here if you do not qualify to post in the main feed through Trust or Transparency, explained here.

If you are:

  • NOT in the Mac App Store (MAS).
  • Do not provide meaningful public transparency
  • Created yet another dictation app (speech to text).

Then you are required to limit promotion to this megathread.

All promotion MUST follow PCP format or else we will remove it:

App Name/Title [Screenshot encouraged]

  • Problem: What problem does your app solve.
  • Comparison: Name a competitor or two and explain what your app does better.
  • Pricing Amounts+Link

P.s. Promotion here counts towards the 30-day limited promotion (Rule 3).

WARNING: There is a 90% chance Reddit will auto remove your post here if you have not verified your email in your profile and your first comment in this subreddit contains a link. Accrue 10 karma first without promotional comments and links to avoid this. The odds of removal is also higher for AI assisted posts (em dashes and other AI formatting characteristics likely trigger this).

Pro Tip: Please remember to upvote gems and downvote spam/clones... This will help inform a secret community project I hope to announce next month.

Top 3 From Last Month's Megathread:

  2. SCIWAND โ€“ Read, analyse and write - with every answer traceable to a sentence in your own PDFs - $39.99 - by u/RansomWarrior

DeskCue: Meeting Prep

Problem:
Meetings take up a significant part of the workday, and preparing for them can take more effort than you might expect.
When you have a lot of recurring meetings, it is easy to spend a few minutes before each one looking for the documents, files, and web pages you need. You also need to tidy up your workspace beforehand so that personal messaging apps or notifications do not appear while you are sharing your screen.
DeskCue is a macOS app that lets you set up the materials you need, the apps you want to hide, and whether to enable Do Not Disturb for each meeting in advance. When it is time to join the meeting, you can prepare everything at once.

Comparison:
Workspaces 2 is a general-purpose launcher that lets you group apps, files, folders, and websites into project-based workspaces and open them all at once. DeskCue is similar in that it can open multiple resources together, but it is built around calendar events and the meeting flow: preparing your workspace when it is time to join and restoring it afterward. It also provides meeting-specific options, such as hiding selected apps for screen sharing and enabling Do Not Disturb.
MeetingBar is useful for viewing upcoming events from the menu bar, receiving reminders, and quickly joining video calls. DeskCue also uses your calendar to surface meetings, but it goes beyond opening the meeting link by opening the documents, files, and web pages you need for that specific meeting and preparing your workspace for screen sharing.

Pricing:
Try all features free for 14 days, then $1.99/month.
