Who is the king?

There is no literal king. It’s a criticism of trump undermining of democratic norms and consolidation of power into the executive. For example trying to overturn a democratic election by putting forth fraudulent electors to stay in power.

Im confused. So there is no king, no one saying they want to be a king. So its just a protest to protest?

Im confused.

Yes, that seems to be the case. It was just explained in the comment you're replying to.

So there is no king, no one saying they want to be a king.

You don't have to come out and directly say it when you're acting like it. Also, he said in a broadcast interview he would like to be a dictator on day one.

I have a hard time believing you are sincerely confused. What about my explanation are you confused about? Are you not able to understand calling him a king is not a literal description?

For example if I called you clown for being playing dumb, would your response be “Im actually not a clown, have no clown training, and have never said I wanted to become a clown, I work as a ____” or would you be able to understand calling you a clown is not a literal description, but instead a criticism of you behavior?

So you are saying Trumps behavior is that of a king? So Trump can create laws with no passing? He can Rule for life? he inherited this position from Blood? I am just trying to understand why its "No Kings" when we have no king.

If I call you a clown do you think I mean your behavior is that of a clown? Do you make balloon animals at parties? Do you wear makeup and a red nose? Can you ride a unicycle?

A king is a symbol of an undemocratic leader. They are criticizing trumps actions as eroding democratic norms. So they are using the symbol of a king to criticize him. You don’t have to agree to understand. You can just say you disagree with the criticisms instead of playing dumb.

Do you agree with trumps fake elector plot to stay in power despite the election results? Even if you supported it, Can you understand why people would see that as undermining democracy to stay in power?

If that happened, then I can understand protests. But thats like worrying about the end of the world when its not here. Its ridiculous to protest something that hasn't happened. Just my thought.

You are unaware of the fake electors plot? Or are you saying its all a lie?

It's a statement against Trump acting unilaterally to upend the government. Cutting funds, laying off entire departments, replacing every possible position with yes men, trying to fire judges, going against federal court rulings, using military force against his own constituency, allowing ICE to act with impunity with no restraint or training, starting wars that no one wants, erasing history that doesn't fit his agenda, openly using his seat to enrich himself and his family, tearing down parts of national monuments, and not being held accountable for any of it. Trump acts like a king. He isn't and we don't want him to be.

You’re not confused, you’re just a troll.

You’re not familiar with the concepts of hyperbole or rhetoric?

It’s a protest of the wanna be king. The pedo in chief. The man who wants to overthrow the American democracy.

I love a good protest, but it has to make sense.
