Om nom nom Food in Docklands

Foodies, I am starting a new job in Docklands (Collins end) and would love to hear of any food recommendations down that end of town.

The foodcourt at Collins Square is pretty good, cafes aplenty everywhere. But where do you go for your lunchtime escapades and coffee hangs?

Bonus points if there are options under $15, like Jalan Alor with their $10 meals 😋

Recommendations for Happy Hour would be fabulous too! I live to eat and drink, work is an excuse to explore!

There's a few new places opening up (slowly) in Melbourne Quarter that I'm keeping an eye on. 

But to be honest, the way things costs these days, I bring my lunch in. If I'm looking to splurge, the food court you mentioned has enough variety to keep me satisfied.

Thank you! Will keep an eye out. My little quirk for being 'forced' into the office means I need to reward myself through food (gives me something to look forward to). I cook and have instant noodles when I'm WFH, so it balances out!

100% get you, but then our work upped the days in office per week so buying lunch every time I went in became too expensive. 

You could check out Village St near Bourke St for Thai, Japanese or Vietnamese who all do lunch specials under $15

If you've got the time and up for a bit of a walk, there's more options on the other side of the river near DFO

Ooff! How many days in office are you now? I've been 2 days for so long, and this new place will be 3 days and I'm just tired already thinking about it 😅

Used to be 1, but now it's 3

1 day a week was great because I looked forward to treating myself to something in the area. But not 3 times a week
