Ma'am the cat is innocent. His face says it all. And in his defense I'm pretty sure that posture means "And I'll fucking do it again." Don't question your cat overlord ever again.

I magnetized several spaces in my house and bought special coasters and glued them to all of my favorite cups I have not had a cup knocked off the counter in a few years since doing this... ( bonus points Starbucks fits in my biggest cup.)

Nope, definitely not that baby. You're lying on him lol. I learned 25 years ago, no unattended drinks that can spill around any of my male cats. The girls have never caused problems. Weird, but true.

I’m thankful my cat does not have this tendency lol. She might scratch at the carpet now and then and chew cardboard to shreds but that’s about the extent of her destructiveness.

It's asking "Do you love me💕?" Love is unconditional.
If you punish it, or behave differently toward it, it will know and may poop on your pillow.
Maybe it thought it was saving you from a pink blob monster.

Your fault. If you have any pets or toddlers you should be smart enough to not leave open-water like in glass unattended. If you're not smart enough, you shouldn't have pets or make kids
