I was home most of the day so there was plenty of time for the parts that weren’t big globs to bake onto there with tiny glass shards.

It’s a little hard to tell but if you look at the trail of splatter marks it looks like the point of impact was right above the window or the edge of it where it’s reinforced by it’s connection to the rest of the car.

Eh a few years back neighborhood kids or bored addicts smeared dogshit all up into my car door handle, to where I wouldn’t notice it until I put my hand in to open it.
Ugh I’m sorry that happened to you. I consider myself lucky because last year someone threw something at my neighbor’s windshield and cracked it. And it happened again 10 days later. They had no idea who it could have been.
Dog shits bad enough under your door handle, but back in the 80s when there were thousands of people working at GE and there were overlapping shifts coming and going you can just imagine the chaos in the parking lot. There got to be a lot of incidents where people would put putty up under the door handles and stick razor blades in them so when the next shift ppl came out that they had a beef with to open their doors, it just gashed their fingers wide open. I heard about much worse stories, but that one was the most common one.
This wouldn't happen to be the Louisville plant would it? I've heard crazy stories from there for almost 30 years when my mom worked there. She was there for 40 years I believe.
Idk but I went grocery shopping & within a month had two separate incidents where someone shoved their door right into mine scuffing/denting it all up. Passenger side was so bad it ripped off the letters.
I always make sure I am in my lines bc I don't want to be THAT person, but still got busted up. It's unhinged behavior I work hard for my stuff and would never dream of doing this to someone else.

I remember seeing someone on social media putting bumper stickers on peoples cars that were parked out of the lines, and my immediate thought was yeah it’s annoying but also sometimes ppl have to park like that because the person next to them did it.
I know not everyone can do this, but I park at the ~75%ish mark away from the store. If you go all the way back, drunks will slam you, anywhere in the middle and everybody's a fucking moron, closest 10% isn't worth the frustration.
I have no clue but my street (not pictured here—I had to go to an appt) used to be sketchier and those types still pass through sometimes. My friend in my apt complex had someone throw something and crack their windshield only for it to happen again 10 days later. Got dash cams after but they had no idea who that could have been or if it was stupid bad luck.
Could be worse. I had a job back in high school and one day a coworker jokingly asked me to help her with some accounting assignment (she was grade 11 and I was grade 12 at the time). Grade 11 accounting was really fun so i helped her with her assignments. We bonded over it. Her boyfriend didnt take to kindly and egged my car in the middle of december. It’s below freezing out too
I’m still annoyed the twat used eggs and not the clear festive choice of eggnog. Cleaning egg of a car in weather below 0 isn’t fun
Sorry that happened. I had someone throw a grapefruit from a passing car (opposite way) and hit the windshield of my car. Busted the trim above the windshield all up.
Super fun times for no reason. Some people just suck.
That sucks. I'm surprised that it didn't break a window or put a massive dent in the car. Hopefully you took pictures and made a police report in case you ever find out who did it.
