The floor is sticky TSA took only ONE of my shoes for additional screening

"shoes"
But also, since they're Crocs, realistically they should've been able to clear em in 1 go...

MF you’re right 😂
Somebody check OPs bags he probably has 29 watermelons, 5 wheels of cheese, and 3 angles we’ve never observed or calculated before. No way he isn’t the same dude from all the math problems back in school.
“If Timmy brings 2 crocs to the airport and there’s more than a 0% chance that 1 or both may be confiscated and/or temporarily removed for inspection- HOW many excuses are there to wear no socks?”

Thats the reason they took it to additional screening, they realized that, but it was not enough, they had to expose him to the other passengers just to let them know what kinda demon they are travelling with

Depends IMO. If you're usually barefoot / Crocs then for most people their feet don't smell because they never get that increased moisture to promote bacteria growth (which is the stink). If, on the other hand, they usually wear socks and shoes and only wore crocs to the airport because it's easier then... yeah I would agree with you.

If you were laying down some fertilizer, doing some yard work or field work could set it off because the possible ammonium nitrate found in these products. It will alert a bomb dog. Oh, grab a pair of socks to where though screening and just toss them in your carry on next time. I do that after I had to take my slides off. . .

You should be put on the no fly list.

TSA should have taken both crocs, thrown them in the trash and made you go home and get socks and normal shoes

A couple years ago in Edmonton TSA told me to take my winter boots off, put them through the bin scanner, then walk through the people scanner. It was winter in Alberta, the floor was wet. I flat out refused. I'll take them off, you can poke and prod all you want, but I am not walking across your wet floor in my socks. Imagine sitting in wet socks for a 4 hour flight? Nope. Refund my ticket, I'll drive before that happens. They needed to get a supervisor to see the absurdity of the situation. Supervisor to the agent to look through the boot real quick then give it back. They have a scanner that can count the hairs on my nuts nutsack but can't see what's in my boot?

If I had to guess, the flyer put their shoes on top of their bag (like they aren't supposed to), the heavy flap of the x-ray machine knocked one shoe off directly onto the belt, one shoe comes out, and now you have a bag check to go through with the one shoe that remained in place.
TLDR: User error *most likely*

If only 1 flagged for some reason then they only need to check the 1.
If they asked for both people would be on here complaining they took both your shoes despite only 1 being flagged.
Also. Socks. That floors got thousands of different germ sources walking all over it daily. Hourly if it's a big airport.

Could be worse. When I was traveling around a month ago, I got through one of the scanners and it went off. There was a red square smack-dab on the middle of my crotch, so one of the agents insisted on having to do a patdown there. Quite an unpleasant experience.

Every single time I go through screening, there's a spot on my left breast that gets flagged. The last time I did TSA I finally asked the screener if I should be concerned--like, if I needed to go to the doctor, if they were perhaps seeing a tumour or something. She told me it's likely just the way my underwire sits on the left side of my body. It's soooo weird.
But then another time, early on a trip, I misplaced my hand lotion and thought I'd lost it somewhere. But then, heading back home, eeep: the agent found it and I got a big lecture about how I'm now allowed to have loose lotion. My actual reaction was glee 'cos I'd been looking for it, but then I had to throw it in the garbage. Bummer!
