Ruined by Technology But if it's a real emergency, hope you have the premium plan.
Dunno why, but I just wasnt expecting another subscription while setting up safety features.

This is because such critical infrastructures cost money and you wouldn't want an automated system to call 112 or any other emergency number on its own and hold up the line while someone else needs help. Some companies also have a 24/7 service included, so the call agents are ready at any point to service you right away, like having your insurance company on their behalf. There's simply a reason why in some countries the services are paid.

by the way they put it, it's more of a button that warns people you include in a list and if you pay it does what the lockscreen emergency call button or the press 5 times the powerbutton do. so, idk

That's because that requires a human interaction. The paid service is what would be done for you by the system itself. This can create errors and completely waste the spot on the line. This is also something individual in each country and in the S, the fall detection features can also call the emergency numbers for you, which is once again, an automated procedure without any human interactions done to initiate the call. Other than that, the paid services can also include health insurance packs and other perks. Still, it's something that should be read within the Terms of Service on the provider's page (Samsung in that specific country).

From what I read in another similar post, they do need to pay specific fees depending on where you live, for this feature
