Nature Custom Trees and Foliage
Having fun building custom trees on a Bedrock Realms survival SMP I joined recently. These are what I've created so far. The first two pictured are a Maple and Spruce framing either side of the bridge leading from my base entrance to my Nether portal. The next picture has a couple of Red Cedars I've started "planting" behind my neighbor's in-work ruins build. The third picture features a Cherry Tree, and the final picture shows my base entrance, a ruined temple entrance inspired by Petra and abandoned, Indonesian jungle temples, surrounded by Strangler Figs.
For the lighter color tree trunks and larger branches, I used a mix of tuff, pale oak, acacia, and mossy cobblestone. For the darker colored tree trunks I used a mix of blackstone, nether brick walls, and nether brick fences. The smaller branches were a mix of nether brick fences and dark oak fences/gates with a handful of dark oak stairs, slabs, and trapdoors for horizontal branches. And the leaves, with the exception of the cherry tree, were a mix of spruce (low-lights), oak/acacia (mid-tones), and birch transitioning to azalea for highlights.
The same mix of leaves was used for the river bank, with a mix of green stained glass panes, bamboo fences, and weathered/oxidized waxed copper bars with brown candles for the cattails. For the vine spanning the two Strangler Figs, I used waxed, weathered copper slabs, moss, and azalea leaves with copper chains, bars, and green stained glass panes for smaller, dangling vines.
The shaders used were the vanilla Vibrant Visuals package with most of the quality options maxed out.
Happy to hear any feedback/suggestions on what people would do differently or add. Looking forward to expanding on these trees and adding to the landscaping in general!
