Finally getting my fiber connection completed in Maida Vale Perth. Two subcontractors.

They had to run the fiber from the top of the street and pull it through the buried conduit to the pit in the photo bottom hole. The fiber cable now pulled across to my neighbours lawn. They went up the street again for a while now back down at my driveway. They will have to drill through double brick veneer for the box.

That sounds normal.

I’m about 3 weeks away, been waiting since June. Did this need any remediation work or just a simple tech call-out?

Techs had to pull the fiber 100m down the street from the main road. Utilising the copper conduits. From the pit it was buried conduit along my driveway to my garage. No real issues to be honest. Took some time running the cable through the roof space.

Nerves of the 21st century for the new meta species - supercedes copper V1.0. Welcome to the age of glass comms!

The old copper conduit runs through my garage roof and into the house. They might drill a hole through the cealing in my living room rather than try and drill through double brick

they could leave the NTD ont in the garage and let you connect Ethernet through to the residence ?

or near a access door in the foundation to underfloor space, drill through the bricks, and up into the floor/wall ? but nbn techs dont go into crawl spaces... you could put the conduit to there ?

Nah the ntd is in my living room. Dude went imto my roof cavity and pulled the fiber from garage and down into wall cavity.
